Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter explores the secret life of our greatest President, and the untold story that shaped our nation. Visionary filmmakers Tim Burton and Timur Bekmambetov (director of Wanted) bring a fresh and visceral voice to the blood-thirsty lore of the vampire, imagining Lincoln as history’s greatest hunter of the undead.

You can check out the US teaser trailer by clicking HERE. Still not sure what to make of this film. But the cast is pretty good, and I'm hoping it will at least be a fun watch, I'll definitely give it a shot.

Starring Benjamin Walker, Rufus Sewell, Dominic Cooper, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Anthony Mackie and Alan Tudyk, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is set to hit theatres on June 22.

I'm not sure if this movie destroys my faith in humanity or restores it. Either way, I have the weirdest boner right now.

The only good thing about this trailer is the shiver down my spine that Johnny Cash's voice produces.

just another film wanting to make a badass (= stupid idiot doing karate and fighting vampires= out of someone who already was a badass but for different reasons (=anti-slavery).Now, I might be mistaken but this looks like a film that's desperately trying to get people excited about a fictional version of Lincoln when the real person had led such an interesting life. It also comes at a time where people i the US have NO faith whatsoever in their political representatives and so I feel this film tries to get people excited about politicians, as a nice escapism so that they won't have to think about mortgage fraud, Wall street corruption, possible (and needless) war with Iran, NDAA, SOPA/PIPA, high unemployment, etc. I could go on but I think this film is stupid and it does not seem exciting at all.

Lincoln was already a badass without unting vampires so...what's the point of this film?

It's fiction. It's based on a bad ass book. The point is entertainment. It's not propaganda. What is the point of any CBM?? They're fun to watch. Lighten up, Batfan.

Also, that trailer looks sick. If you don't understand why Lincoln killing vampires is empirically awesome, than there is no hope for you.

I find it interesting that comic book fans get really upset when a shit movie is made based on their favorite comic book. An example is X-Men 3. Then if someone who has never read the comics likes it they tear the movie down to them.

Yet when you have something like this coming out so many people here are tearing it down with out ever having read the book. That makes you just a different side of the same coin.

The badassery of Lincoln knows no bounds.

Plus, none of you are taking into account that this movie could very well inspire the youth of today to take interest and pick up a history book to learn about who the real Abraham was.

Hey, ya never know.

Even though your sentence structure made that post almost impossible to read, I'll still give the history lesson.
The tall man himself said, "What then? Free them, and make them politically and socially our equals? My own feeling will not admit of this; and if mine would, we well know that those of the great mass of white people will not... A universal feeling, whether well or ill-founded, cannot be safely disregarded." The dude was a racist who only freed the slaves for political reasons.
I'm OK with a movie having fun with the history of a already glamorized man who has been dead since the mid 1800s. Get the [frick] off your high horse.
