Alfonso De La Torre ("Snow White and the Huntsman"), worked on many different facets of Percy Jackson: Sea Of Monsters from matte paintings, to environment designs, to creature design, and even designing the way in which the Colchis Bull moves. Below, you can see his designs for Polyphemus the Cyclops, Tyson (Percy Jackson's half brother) and the half-horse, half-fish creature, Hippocampus. By the way what do you feed a Hippocampus? Seriously, when you go to the pet store, do you go into the fish section, or do you pick up pet supplies for a horse?

While Joshua Min has unveiled his artwork for the film, which you can also see below. It includes images of Kronos, and interior of the Colchis Bull, which is a bronze bull the size of elephant.

Percy Jackson has had an unnervingly quiet school year. But then he discovers that the magical borders protecting Half Blood Hill are failing. Unless something is done, the camp will be attacked by demons and monsters. The only way to restore power to the camp's borders and to save their home is to find the mythical Golden Fleece. And the only who can undertake this dangerous quest are Percy and his friends. Embarking on a treacherous odyssey into the uncharted waters of the Sea of Monsters (known to humans as the Bermuda Triangle), they battle terrifying creatures, an army of zombies, and the ultimate Evil.

Percy Jackson: The Sea of Monsters (2013) directed by Thor Freudenthal, from a screenplay written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. The cast includes: Logan Lerman, Alexandra Daddario, Jake Abel, Brandon T. Jackson, Douglas Smith, Leven Rambin, Nathan Fillion, and the always stellar, Stanley Tucci. The film swims into theaters August 7th, 2013!

The sad part is that this movie doesn't really know what it wants to be trying too hard not to be like Harry Potter, the books are alright...but the movies just don't know what they want to be.

Sad because I can see that they are really making an effort and these concept arts show it.

Why is Kronos always portrayed as a giant lava/fire monster? HE was in Wrath of the Titans now this movie.

They need to make a God of War movie that is good.

@Superbat Ares was supposed to be the villain of the first movie. He's also the main character's cousin.

I don't understand what's with Chronos being portrayed as a generic giant horned demon. Everybody knows the paranoid Titan of Time is where the concepts of Father Time and the Grim Reaper came from.

The books ruled. This one tries to be closer to the book than the first push.
People want to hate but it's freaking hard to make a movie at this scale. So easy to screw it up. They seem to be improving the attempts.
