Sources are reporting that Warner Bros. has hired David Green to direct feature length adaptation of the comic book Lore, written by husband-and-wife duo Ashley Wood and T.P. Louise and with Cory Goodman (Priest) and Jeremy Lott to pen the script. Initially, Barry Sonnenfeld was attached to helm the film as the studio was seeking a new franchise in the vein of the Men in Black movies. Sonnenfeld would not remain director due to budget disagreements but remained attached as executive producer.
David Green, who directed a small budget film for Disney titled Echo has apparently impressed WB leading the studio to place him in the director's seat. While Echo was never released by Disney supposedly because the company wasn't confident in how to market the small budget film, it has recently changed hands to studio, Relativity. Echo will be released January 10, 2014.
