The Wrap is reporting that Zoe Saldana (Guardians Of The Galaxy) will star alongside Madison Wolfe (True Detective) in Anders Walter's upcoming graphic novel adaptation I Kill Giants, which has Chris Columbus (Pixels) on board as producer. Joe Kelly, who wrote the critically acclaimed graphic novel, which won IGN's Best Indy Book of 2008, also penned the screenplay.

I Kill Giants is the tale of a quirky young girl, Barbara, played by Wolfe, who takes her fantasy life just a bit too far as she becomes convinced that giants are real and that they are on their way to wreak havoc on her world. She then takes it upon herself to stop them. Saldana will portray the school psychologist, Mrs. Mollé, who forms an inspiring bond with Barbara as she plays a key role in helping the young girl face both her internal and external demons.

Filming is expected to kick off early 2016, presumably before Saldana heads off to reprise her role as Gamora in James Gunn's Guardians Of The Galaxy: Vol. 2.
