n a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan. Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before.

Because it seems rational? I think the only reason people jump down anyone else's throat is when they seem like they're just hating. If there's some kind of evidence, or if you present your arguement in a fair manner, ofcourse there won't be any arguements.

Oh, sorry I misunderstood you. I thought you were asking why people chose not to say anything when you gave evidence. But you meant why did people just ignore your evidence and keep bitching. Just ignore them and say what you want to say.

@xenix

The clip at the warehouse is at the end of the film. Hal has to undergo a dynamic character transformation to get there. You can see that Ryan can play that. So, while he may not have been everyone's ideal casting, I think it's only fair if we wait until the film is out and see it in its entirety before we judge Ryan's performance.

@Xenix/Halo4/Whoever-you-will-be-when-you-change-your-name-again. "Wouldn't logically that change happen when Abin Sur dies?"

LMAO, that would be so unrealistic story-wise, even in real life. The journey of the change starts with Abin Sur's death and Hal's enlistment as a catalyst. To think that it has to be instantaneous at the exact moment of Abin Sur's death is laughable when even in the comics they'd write a transition of that "dynamic character transformation" that continues after the torch between Abin and Hal is passed.

@Xenix, then you really should have explained that question in greater detail then. Some of us aren't stupid and just by reading every post here between you and the others, et al, every argument you have are based on the clips shown - which, according to one poster - can all be taken out of context due to the fact that that's all they are: clips! Regardless of how you phrase every nitpick and - dare I say "rant" on the clips you kept bashing on, as it is, they are all becoming redundant. And by god, if you're really angsting too much about the bloody movie at every turn that you do not like to YOUR idealized "specification" - make a movie about GL yourself then so you can be satisfied because you never will be with this film. No matter what you do, the movie's coming out. I know everyone else has his/her opinion on this, but c'mon dude, you've already said your piece so why keep at it with every GL news post? Opinions are good, and sometimes it only takes ONE to get the point through - just say you don't like it - end of story after all the explanation. That you hate most of the clips (yet like others), and yet you still keep watching them at every chance a new one is posted and sometimes rant at the ones you really can't stand. That's gotta be some masochism there somewhere since you kept at it.

@Xenix, then be the better person then. I rarely post much when I see something I don't like, I just give an opinion (be it a like or dislike) and leave it like that unless someone gets testy with me without even bothering to try to get what I've written down. All of my views and arguments - regardless of trying to outright bash something (which never gets to that point really in an out-of-hand way) - doesn't extend itself over several pieces to the point where it becomes a rant/whine. I rarely rehash something unless it's to make a point for the person/persons I'm arguing with who only replies back with profanity - thereby clearly showing a lack of education and manners, or are simply just flat out crazy.

I also rarely repeat myself, or go after something like a dog chasing a prized bone, or repeatedly try to hammer home my opinions when - if they can't even get it once - then they never will.

@Xenix

You keep asking why Hal is not acting like he does in the Hangar in the rest of the movie. Maybe because these are small snipets of the movie and you need to see the rest to make that judgement. Plus, everyone acts differently to certain situations. Maybe thats why. This is Campbell's and Co. version of a GL story just like how different writers and artists on comic books tell stories on how they think GL would be and act in certain situations.
