Before the news broke last year that Ryan Reynolds had nabbed the lead role of Hal Jordan/Green Lantern in director Martin Campbell's Green Lantern, actor Bradley Cooper was considered by many to be the top contender for the role. Cooper has admitted in the past that he was up for the role, but he recently explained that the reason he didn't get the part was because he blew the audition...by impersonating Christian Bale's husky Batman voice!

"The trouble was that when I auditioned, it being a superhero movie, I couldn’t help but do my Christian Bale Batman voice.

"I don’t know why. Needless to say I didn’t get the job."

However, Cooper will still get his chance to be an action hero with his own action figure thanks to his role as "Face" in the upcoming The A-Team movie.

"I do indeed have my own action figure although apparently it looks nothing like me. I am very excited that there is an action figure for Face. It feels like a big deal. Getting my own toy was always the goal!"
