Green Lantern is 2011 superhero movie based on the DC Comics character in the 1960's for Hal Jordan. The movie was directed by Martin Campbell who did 2 of my favorite 007 movies Casino Royale,Golden Eye and I like The Mask of Zorro. This was his first Sci-Fi or CGI movie he made which I can't really blame him for it but he did good jobs on the action scenes which some might not agree with me.

I been a Green Lantern fan since I was 7 within 10 years later I finally get a live action movie for it. I heard the news that Ryan Reynolds was cast as Hal Jordan people complaining he wasn't right for the role oh this guy should of got it, etc.I was "1" of those people thinking Ryan Reynolds would do a great job even though he's DEADPOOL.

The plot was ok I didn't mind it already knew Parollax was going to be the main villain right away, suspected Carol Ferris finding out Hal is Green Lantern in the movie. I sort of thought some parts were going to happen but I liked how Hal had to face some of his fears like thinking how he acts is going to cause him to end up dead like his father.

Wondering why Abin Sur chose him. Saying "All GREEN LANTERN'S are suppose to be fearless that's not me" soon realizes that he's chosen because he has the WILL POWER to overcome fear itself. I liked what happened during the credits like when Sinestro took the yellow ring and put it on seeing he has fallen from grace.

The CGI and characters, acting weren't that bad to be honest. The CGI was great on Tomar-Re, Killowog, Sinestro, Hal Jordan suit was pretty good like he asked Tomar how come his suit isn't tights he says "The ring is made out of the Green energy of WILLPOWER" which makes sense. Also Hal Jordan didn't have the white gloves which is a YES!!!! To me.

I HATE the fact the mask needed to CGI seriously WB. From other people review of GL they're complaining how the suit looked like what I said earlier about the suit, how Tomar-Re looked in the movie.
It's because when Tomar first appeared in DC he had a shorter beak/snout and smaller mohawk thing.
Killowag why are people complaining about him saying "Why is Killowog orange he should be pink not orange" that's because he first appeared Orange then turned pink after the Crisis on Infinite Earths I just proved my point so stop hating haters.
The CGI was EPIC on OA I liked the scenes when Hal was on Oa really good CGI

The acting was pretty good Ryan Reynolds did 1 of the best acting in the movie as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern. How he acts in the movie suits Hal Jordan to be honest and I don't care I still liked the movie.

I still think Blake Lively is TOO YOUNG, SERIOUSLY a 23 year old as Carol Ferris Reynolds is 34 for God Sakes but still did an ok job as her.

Tamuera Morrison was good as Abin Sur I wanted Arnold Vosloo as him but voiced him on Emreld Knights which is ok to me. Still Morrison suited the character really well even though he was on the movie for like 10 minutes

Mark Strong was AWESOME as Sinestro just wished he had a bigger role he was badass when he had that fight scene with Hal.Can't wait to see him fight Hal again wearing the SINESTRO Corps. uniform.

Michael Clarke Duncan was AWESOME as Killowog I originally wanted him as Killowag always thought he would the would voice and he did he was badass and funny as KILLOWOG. THANK GOD he said "POOZER" in the movie.

Geoffrey Rush was also AWESOME as Tomar-Re I first thought Tamuera Morrison was going to voice Tomar but when I heard Rush voice Tomar-Re I was like "YES".

But Peter Sassgard on the other hand as Hector Hammoud he was pretty good but wished he had better dialouge and not making him look like he had nut sack forehead again and try not to sound like Hades from Clash of the Titans on his parts of the film

Out of 5 Stars I will give Green Lantern
4/5 why simple
1st Star- Great CGI explaining why Hal's suit looks like that in the movie
2nd Star- Great acting from RR,TM,MCD,GR,MS and good fight scenes
3rd Star- Killowog said "POOZER"a few times ,Sinestro owning Hal on OA
4th Star- Forming of the yellow ring and what Sinestro did later during the credits

Well there you have it did my Green Lantern movie review. Hope you like my review and I'm done my new fancast and it'll be out later on tomorrow.

They totally botched the creation of the yellow ring. And Sinestro's motivation for wearing it.

I liked the idea of the suit being made of "hard light", but this film's concept were not translated well to film. As a comedy, a film to watch with friends, as a Blockbuster rental, this film was good. A summer feature film? Not so much. Haha, actually I'm in the process of writing a review when I came across yours.

nice review, but I suppose I will play grammar police and tell you that commas, semi colons, and periods are important. It helps the reader understand your point.

I know I messed up on the review ok I'm only human everyone makes mistakes in life next review I'll check the grammer next time.

Also Warners Bros. was "somewhat disappointed" how the movie turned out but intends to move forward with a sequel.
Rumors saying Geoff Johns will be writing the sequel and a new director to direct every one except the ones who died want to come back and do another film

I still liked the film a lot. Yeah, it needed some fine tuning, but that's what sequels are for (and there's still room for great ones... WB just has to hire the right people to ensure its success).

Yeah from how it looks I FN know. Only way they can make another GL movie is by a REBOOT won't see that til 5 years from now maybe.
Second of all I didn't say "that" WARNER BROS. said that on their webstie last week then again it can be fake though.

Just seen the 1st gl review so I could have my say lol. I'm from aid and the movie just released here today, seen it with the mrs as I always do, I have read a few comics my mrs has not. I think this was a fantastic movie and a blockbuster, it had a couple things I didn't like, 1. Y did they have to use full cgi suits, the cgi mask made Hal look like rubber. 2. The lack of use of other characters, not enough of kilowog. But apart from that I loved it my mrs loved it and both think it's on par with Thor, alot better than cap America but not as good as xmen:)
