Hal Jordan is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax...he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Many thanks to Geek Tyrant for the following video interviews.

With an all star cast which includes Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan, Blake Lively as Carol Ferris and Mark Strong as Sinestro, director Martin Campbell's Green Lantern is set to be released in 3D on June 17, later this month!

Didn't DCMovieFanatic call bullshit on this guy being John Stewart? Hm. At any rate, seems like a nice enough guy. Can't wait to see this movie!

He probably plays John Stewart but he won't be in the sequels, probably. It takes a more experienced actor to play Stewart.

YOU KNOW WHEN THEY SWITCHED TERRENCE WITH CHEADLE I REALLY DIDN'T NOTICE A DIFFRENCE IN ACTING EXPERIENCE OR SEE HOW CHEADLE WAS MORE BETTER AT ALL.............AT ALL.

I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED HOWARD, KEEP CONTINUITY...

I would like to see Nick Jones as John Stewart...I think he has the perfect all american hollywood face. I think he's marketable, just have to wait and see if he has the acting chops. But who wants to bet money that they'll choose Tyrese as John Stewart for the sequel. I JUST KNOW THEY WILL!!! Plus I think Tyrese and Ryan Rynolds personalities would make for some great chemistry.

well if his presence transcends nicely and he has the persona. You never know he might keep the role. I'll love to see who people suggest for the role. It's not like the list is long. Give this guy a shot he might hit a grandslam.

Well, that should put to rest the naysayers who said he isn't playing John Stewart.

I wouldn't think they would put John Stewart in the first film without having some future direction or purpose for him, but who knows...

I love how nobody cares about the other guy up there. Granted he's not as important.

But yea Jones certainly looks the part I'd say. I still want to see how he does as far as acting is concerned though. I hope it's well enough for him to continue the role. So if they give him enough lines for us to decide we'll wait and see.

I was only somewhat interested in Green Lantern until I started hearing stuff about the new film (which looks AMAZING) but if they do continue with either one of these characters for the hopeful sequels, that would be awesome. In just the short time that he is allowed in the video, this guy Jones seems to me like he has the charisma and easygoing personality to make John Stewart be epic!!!
