Ryan Reynold's Says Martin Campbell Has Titanium Balls!!

How crazy is that? How crazy is Martin?

That's a cool compliment, I mean I guess it could be worse. Just think about all the nice things stars have told us about there beloved directors. Nothing really compares with "Titanium Balls"!

Reynold's told MTV:

"I fell in love with the character when I met with Martin Campbell. When I sat down with him, I really got what it is that this guy is all about. When you have a guy like Martin Campbell, part of his charm is that he has balls of titanium, and the other part is that he's slightly crazy, and you have to be to take on something with the scope of Green Lantern."

Please stay crazy enough to at least relate the source material to the movie. PLEASE!!

he'll be fine you guys he took James Bond and made it watchable again it'll be find i got good feelings. He is a great story telling when its the right character. And the fact that Green Lantern has a great compelling story he will do great.

I'm still not sold on him being the lantern though, he just doesn't look like it to me. But I do trust his acting ability, so I bet it'll be good movie.

Honestly I trust RR to do an amazing job with this movie. Yes he has some some Sh*t flicks but all in all he is first an amazing actor and second he loves comics. He is co writing Deadpool and I wouldn't doubt he would have a say so in GL as well. I have high expectations of this they couldn't have picked a more involved actor to help save DC movies

Wow sounds like Martin Campbell knows his stuff about the Green Lantern. But as Set2FallFirst said, look what he did with James Bond, he resurrected a dying franchise and made it awesome again. The Green Lantern is in good hands, at least with the director anyway.

As Pym said, Ryan Reynolds might not be the best to portray the Green Lantern. Now I know Ryan has being great in serious roles he has done in other movies but I continue to see him in a Van Wilder/Hannibal King way. I am going to doubt him for now but I hoped to be proved wrong in a couple of years. Ryan Reynolds could be our greatest hero if he makes a great Green Lantern movie and Deadpool movie!

Martin Campbell is the man, I believe that he'll take care of this franchise. He's very grounded in reality with his projects, so it'll be interesting to see what he does with GL, but it seems to be a new trend to have unusual directors for CBM's lately, and it's working out incredibly. Jon Favreau (Elf & Zathura?!), Nolan (memento).. I can't wait to see who's directing Avengers!

A director will not want to be associated with a flop. He also would not have involved himself into a venture that was unsure. I will maintain optimism.
I certainly do hope as you guys do that Campbell's enthusiasm is based on how well he believes he can translate the GL story on to film.

As a Green Lantern fan I really hate that fan-made pic of RR as Green Lantern that gets posted in every article that has anything to do with this, why aren't people ever happy with the original costume? Yeah let's give him metal bands on his forearms for no reason and add as many seams to the costume as possible. Granted it's not as horrible as The Dark Knight's costume but still, it just irks me to no end. I do give him credit for his photo-shopping skills, just a horrible interpretation of a Green Lantern costume. Had to get that out there, been bugging me since the first time I saw it.
