How are they not making movies with this character.

@LaserKing - He's too awesome, too unique, and too scary to tackle. They've seen what can happen when you try to replicate A Picasso with no passion. One day the stars will line up for our boy. One day...

@LaserKing - Because of some weird mixture of cluelessness and insanity. Not only is he a great character in his own right with an amazing world to explore and fantastic villains, but he also bring a different personality that really compliments a great team dynamic and powers that set him visually apart. Ridiculous not to have Hal in the Justice League.

@LaserKing - because though its obvious to us, only the MCU has cracked the code for superhero movies that arent stuck in the 2000's mentality of needing to change the source material in order for it to sell. Granted Marvel has made their own fair share of missteps in the past and still do, but for the most part they have learned the right lessons from their mistakes. Other Studios repeat the same mistakes and even learn the wrong lessons from their failures.

I dont pretend to know the ins and outside of what it takes to make a movie, but the creative liberties they make for the worse are super obviously bad ideas to most of us.

I find the character and his powers very unique.

On one hand it seems like more of a John Stewart construct than a Hal Jordan one. On the other hand....dat ass though.

Sweet design and it looks top quality. Very nice! I love the idea of the Lanterns. I wanna see them on the big screen and not be a campy joke like the Reynolds movie. So much damn potential.

As much as my hope for a thriving DCEU is undying, I cant dismiss how much I loathe what they are doing to these characters. Warner has no idea what they are doing. They need a Feige, point blank. The DCEU will never take off unless they get 1 guy who understands the material to take command of the whole thing.

Don't really care for the construct, but the projection from his ring looks amazing and they used the classic suit. Really splendid work!

Tbh, considering how deep the Green Lantern mythology surrounding all the Corps is, I doubt we will ever get a worthy movie adaption.
The only way I can imagine it working out is Peter Jackson's approach for the Lord of the Rings.
