Armie Hammer Weighs In On Reports That He's Being Considered For GREEN LANTERN CORPS
Armie Hammer has seemingly been teasing a role in the DC Films Universe for months, hence why his inclusion on the Green Lantern Corps shortlist didn't come as a surprise. What does he think about that?
A few days ago, a list of actors up for the role of Hal Jordan in Green Lantern Corps found its way online. Among them was The Man From U.N.C.L.E.'s Armie Hammer, no surprise considering the fact that he's been teasing fans on Twitter for weeks now. However, asked by The Wrap at the Sundance Film Festival whether he's heard the news, the actor was very quick to deny knowing anything about the movie.
"I saw the reporting too," Hammer admitted before adding, "That’s the first I’ve heard of it." He almost seemed a little annoyed about being asked, and after months of fans nagging him on social media and articles popping up every time he follows someone on Twitter, he's probably had enough!
It's still possible that he'll play Hal in Green Lantern Corps, but that list should definitely be taken with a pinch of salt. Hammer is a good fit, and fans have been hoping to see him take on the role of a superhero for years now. 2020 is a long time away, though, so unless a cameo for the hero is being planned sooner than expected, we could be waiting a very long time before hearing anything concrete.
