Michael Jackson as Star-Lord. Arnold Schwarzenegger as Drax the Destroyer. Grace Jones as Nebula. Vanity as Gamora. Christopher Lambert as Ronan the Accusser. Carl Weathers as Rocket and Andy Warhol as The Collector. Plus, it's a liitle hard to read the fine print but Frank Welker as Groot and Steve Martin as Nova Corpsman Rhomann Dey. Also notice that the screenplay is written by George Lucas and Rusty Lemorande. Let this awesomeness permeate through your body and know that in some alternate reality, maybe...just maybe, this movie exists.

Someone should do a '70's version of this with Burt Reynolds voicing Rocket, Jerry Reed as Yondu, Jackie Gleason as the Collector, Jim Nabors as Rhonnan Dey, Lou Ferrigno as Drax, Clint Eastwood as Ronan the Accuser, and Jack Elam as the voice of Groot. With Sandahl Bergman as Gamora and Dom DeLuise as a more verbose Groot. Directed-naturally-by Hal Needham. Make it so!Star-Lord? Kurt Russell. Boom.

Hell,Lee Marvin as Ronan, Charles Bronson as Drax, Vincent Price as the Collector, Don Rickles as Rhonnan Dey, Dean Martin as Star Lord(a boozy Star-Lord,mind you), John Wayne voicing Rocket, Ann-Margaret as Gamora,Ursula Andress as Nebula, Ted Cassiday as Groot(that's right,Lurch from the Addams Family)..Damn,this almost writes itself! Directed by Sam Peckinpah or Stanley Kubrick...
