Guardians of the Galaxy is gracing the covers of several Marvel comics in their Variant Editions to help promote the film's upcoming release in theaters. The titles range from All New X-Men, Thor, to Fantastic Four

In the far reaches of space, an American pilot named Peter Quill finds himself the object of a manhunt after stealing an orb coveted by the villainous Ronan. It will release July 31st in the United Kingdom and August 1st in the United States.

@cosmicman No kidding. Bendis has ruined this series.

At least the film has Starlord looking a little like his old self. Still, most of this art pales in comparison to the art during DnA's run.

The only way to enjoy Bendis run on the Guardians is to forget about the previous stories.

Bandis doesn't care about the continuity and the work of other writers and he doesn't know how to write supernatural and space characters. He should stick with street level characters.

@dethpillow: Hickman should write GOTG! With his run on Fantastic Four and Infinity he has prooved that he can write very good space stories.

Bendis accepted to work on GOTG only because Marvel needed a big name on the comic in order to advertise the movie.
