“We were filming what was essentially, you know, the climax of the entire movie … and I was dancing,” Chris Pratt recently told BuzzFeed of the exclusive Guardians of the Galaxy outtake linked down below. “I was standing there … in front of 200 extras in full alien make-up. And none of them knew what the hell was happening either. They thought they were on a serious movie because of all the time and the effort that had been put into their makeup. So I just had this energy of, like, What am I doing?!” Chris Pratt then said he didn't have a choreographer and the script did not specify how Quill should dance, “But I did have a pretty good sense of the era from which I would be drawing dance moves, given that Quill draws all of his pop-culture references from a certain time frame of basically 1985 and earlier.” He continued, “So I thought he wouldn’t necessarily be doing the Dougie because he wouldn’t know what that is. … I did some research on [’80s dancing], and it happens to be right in my dance wheelhouse anyways.” About ad-libbing passing off the dancing to Zoe Saldana, Pratt says, “I was just trying different things, because I was just so nervous that what we were doing wasn’t going to work.” He added, “I’m not even sure whose idea it was, but they just sprung into the idea that we would [all] do the entire dance-off. … At that point, [we thought] if this whole thing doesn’t work, at least we’re going to have a helluva time and a lot of fun doing it.” What do you think?

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits–Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Peter discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand - with the galaxy’s fate in the balance. Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy is presented by Marvel Studios and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gilian, Djimon Hounsou with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, the film hits Dec. 9, 2014.

@batz11

Great year for movies.

Finally seen DOTPOTA last night. I was literally sitting in amazement that something with that premise could be so powerful. It had a very tragic Shakespeare like story line.

Agreed about EOT, I was very pleasantly surprised. We seen it in 3D because the person I was with never seen a 3D movie. I thought it actually improved the experience way better than most 3D.

If you get a chance go see Nightcrawler too. I seen it like a week ago and I'm still thinking about it.
