From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. James Gunn is the director and the story is by Nicole Perlman and James Gunn, with screenplay by James Gunn. It releases in U.S. theaters on August 1, 2014.

Damn. While Gamora design was simple and effective, I'm wishing they went with this.

I'm not gonna lie, I like this look for Gamora way better than the movie version...

I wish we could have seen Gamora actually, you know, assassinate someone. She's supposed to be this badass assassin in the film but we don't really see that at all. Yeah, she can fight, but so can a lot of people.

She looked good in the movie but like... damn this is awesome!

I'd kill for that intergalactic sandwich. Ronan knew what he was getting into.

Pretty much agree with you guys. They should of went with this design.

I like that design better than what we got, but I'm perfectly content with what we got.

Looks way better than the final design imo.

Too bad Gamora did not look like this, she's ooooogleeee in the movie. Sorry Zoe Saldana, you would not be my choice for this role

The makeup design for Nebula is probably the best I seen in a movie in years.

The part when she was yelling at the guards to leave and the why she walked out is the funniest unintentionally funny scene in the movie.

And I don't care what you guys say, I'd definitely tap the Gamora we got. Even with all that makeup she was a sexy badass.

@ MrBlackjack

Its like that with every movie. Look at the Avengers concept art. Loki and Thor on that mountain was more epic in the conept are than it was in the movie but it still was awesome in the movie.

Gamora looks like the love child of Angelie Jolie and Transformers 1's Meagan Fox.

I'm okay with this.

the problem with movie Gamora is that the make up is too simple, and Zoe doesnt have the right facial feattures to shine under all that make up.

not everyone can look really sexy and badass with that type of make up. I knew she wasnt the best choice, and after seeing the make up work, I saw it myself

I loved that part. She looked like a Bond henchman.

I like those blue marks on her! Man do I hate seeing concept art, especially when they're awesome as hell and how they usually never make it into the final product!
YeezusWept

Gamora would have been way hotter if they just left her eyebrows on. Eyebrows make all the difference.

I think part of the problem with Gamora's look was it's a little hard to (clearly) see some her design.

I peeped it the second time I watched the movie.

I was the only person in the theater that busted out laughing.

I think the movie could have been just as successful and would have worked with any other designs, the movie had a lot going on as it was, one being it's color palette.
SauronsBANE
SauronsBANE - 8/11/2014, 2:48 PM
@MrBlackjack, Completely agree. Saldana looked gorgeous in the movie. This concept art is nice, but it's way too cliche'. It looks like the stereotypical "sexy fantasy alien warrior" that you see in fan fiction/cosplay everywhere. Saldana was the perfect combination of alien, sexy, and tough.
LordOfTheZegaRealm

They should've went with this design; it's a lot more faithful to her comicbook costume.

Agreed. Gamora as a character wasn't your typical alien chick either. She actually had personality and substance. She had a personality, a purpose, and specific goals and ideals. She was different, just like her looks, and that makes her all the more sexier.

Marvel was like "We don't want Badass! We want cute!"
SauronsBANE

@MrBlackjack, Exactly! Couldn't have said it better myself. You know, this almost makes me want to forgive you for all the vile slander of Badass Digest that you've been spreading around lately =P
Chewtoy

Wasn't a fan of Gamora's movie look... The few things they put on her face didn't really add up to anything. The end result was a really weak design.

Prefer this look of Gamora but not of Nebula.
