The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special recently wrapped shooting, and a newly surfaced set photo has revealed a fun nod to a key Eternals character.
The special, which is expected to arrive on Disney+ this Christmas with a runtime somewhere in the 20 - 40 minute range, shot material at the iconic TCL Chinese Theater in Hollywood, decking it out for the holiday season. However, a closer look at that set reveals a poster for a movie called Haxan's Haxaner, and it features Kumail Nanjiani's Kingo front and centre!
This is clearly one of the Eternals' many Bollywood blockbusters, and looks to be a riff of sorts on James Bond or Mission: Impossible. It's a fun background Easter Egg, though how clear it will be in this Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 prequel remains to be seen.
Of course, we won't be seeing Kingo in this special because he was taken from Earth at the end of Eternals by Arishem the Judge for his role in stopping Tiamut's emergence.
No plot details have been revealed, but we're expecting it to take place following the events of Thor: Love and Thunder after the God of Thunder has parted ways with the Guardians. James Gunn is writing and directing the special, and it was shot during production for Vol. 3.
