VIDEO: Fan Creates Their Own 'Dancing Groot' From GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
Apart from a miniature version which will be included in the ridiculously expensive Hot Toys Rocket and Groot double pack, there's still no word on when we'll see an official Dancing Groot toy from Guardians of the Galaxy. Well, one clever fan has made their own...
If we're lucky, Marvel will have some sort of Dancing Groot in Disney Stores by Christmas, but for now, a lot of fans are having to improvise. That's exactly what Patrick Delahanty of Petaluma, California did by using a battery operated dancing flower from the 90s. On his YouTube page Delahany writes: "I made this using a "Movin' & Groovin'" flower I got from eBay, cut off the dumb daisy, and covered the stem on felt and twine. My fiancee sculpted the head from Model Magic. We then painted everything with brown and tan paint. He can now dance to Peter Quill's "Awesome Mix"...or to my own mix." The end result is pretty damn good, and you can actually see step-by-step photos of how he created his own Dancing Groot by clicking here.
