Concept artist Sebastian Meyer ("Green Lantern") has updated his website with concept art he created for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. The images include designs for a Celestial, Cosmo, Ronan and the Power Stone and various female aliens.

From Marvel, the studio that brought you the global blockbuster franchises of Iron Man, Thor, Captain America and The Avengers, comes a new team—the Guardians of the Galaxy. An action-packed, epic space adventure, Marvel's “Guardians of the Galaxy” expands the Marvel Cinematic Universe into the cosmos, where brash adventurer Peter Quill finds himself the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe. To evade the ever-persistent Ronan, Quill is forced into an uneasy truce with a quartet of disparate misfits—Rocket, a gun-toting raccoon, Groot, a tree-like humanoid, the deadly and enigmatic Gamora and the revenge-driven Drax the Destroyer. But when Quill discovers the true power of the orb and the menace it poses to the cosmos, he must do his best to rally his ragtag rivals for a last, desperate stand—with the galaxy's fate in the balance.

Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy,” stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, featuring Vin Diesel as the voice of Groot, Bradley Cooper as the voice of Rocket, Lee Pace, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou, with John C. Reilly, Glenn Close as Commander Rael and Benicio del Toro as The Collector. James Gunn is the director and the story is by Nicole Perlman and James Gunn, with screenplay by James Gunn.

It was great to see something truly Kirby-esque (in terms of sci-fi) on the big screen. The only thing I wish they had was Kirby Crackle. That would have been awe inspiring. Still, not everything translates to the movies.

Agreed, Figuresmaniac, Fox should take very detailed notes on how any cosmic Kirby ideas are handled.

im just glad marvel is doing all this shit before dc make a mark... marvel are molding the genre from the dark knight to this stuff. dc should not be scared to go all out in their movies. people are ready for this comic stuff and even flash tv is showing it.

just wish marvel did more fights. sure, the winter soldier vs cap and hulk vs abomination were amazing. but i want massive battles like from man of steel. i hope we get a massive fight with thanos.

in green lantern movie i want a fight with hal and sinestro from rebith comic. so epic.

@OdinSon2k14 The fact that they are now established and established in that look and not as a Galactus space cloud is a victory moving forward. Even if it is only 5 seconds. It's a 5-second statement.

Collector: "Once but a moment, a group was able to share the energy amongst themselves"

Foreshadowing the movie's climax.
