The Wrap is reporting that Sony Pictures have entered negotiations with David S. Goyer to direct their upcoming Masters of the Universe film. The report adds that talks began shortly after Goyer turned in the script's most recent draft.

Masters of the Universe will tell the story of Prince Adam, a noble warrior from planet Eternia, who turns into the heroic He-Man and fights for the forces of good against the evil Skeletor, a being that is out to conquer Castle Grayskull.

While Goyer has directed four films in his career, including Zig Zag, Blade: Trinity, The Invisible, and The Unborn, he is better known to the film community for his screenwriting work, which includes a wide variety of DC films for Warner Bros., namely The Dark Knight trilogy, Man of SteelBatman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and an early draft for Green Lantern Corps

He isn't a very good director. I honestly don't get why he keeps hired for projects lol.

I doubt this'll be any good. But then again, it's He-Man, so what chance did it ever really have? With that said, as long as this is more along the lines of straight-to-VHS dumb sci-fi schlock bad and not, well, BvS bad, then I'm game.

So long as it keeps him away from DC, I'm all for it. Sucks for He-Man, though.
