MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVELATION Returns On Nov. 23; New Poster Teases "Savage He-Man"

Kevin Smith has announced that Masters of the Universe: Revelation will return with 5 brand-new episodes on November 23, and we also have a new poster teasing the emergence of Savage He-Man!

Masters of the Universe: Revelation co-creator Kevin Smith has taken to Twitter to announce that the second part of the animated series will premiere on Netflix on November 23, giving fans a first look at some new key art in the process.

Part 1 concluded on a massive cliffhanger, with Skeletor finally claiming the Power Sword of Grayskull after stabbing Price Adam in the back (literally). The villain gained immense power, but even with Adam clinging for life, it doesn't look like He-Man is out of the picture - or at least, a version of He-Man!

The poster features "Skelegod" facing-off against Savage He-Man, with Teela and Evil-Lyn in the background. How this barbarian incarnation of the muscle-bound hero finds his way to Eternia remains to be seen, but it may have something to do with Adam using his dying(?) breath to call forth the power of Grayskull without the sword.

Revelation serves as a sequel to the '80s animated series, and has assembled quite a voice cast to continue the story, with Mark Hamill as Skeletor, Lena Headey as Evil-Lyn, Sarah Michelle Gellar as Teela, Alicia Silverstone as Queen Marlena, Kevin Conroy as Mer-Man, and original Skeletor voice actor Alan Oppenheimer taking on role of Moss Man.

Liam Cunningham as Man-At-Arms, Griffin Newman as Orco, Stephen Root as Cringer, Diedrich Bader as King Randor and Trap Jaw, Tiffany Smith as Andra, Henry Rollins as Tri-Klops, Susan Eisenberg as Sorceress, Jason Mewes as Stinkor, Phil LaMarr as He-Ro, Tony Todd as Scare Glow, Cree Summer as Priestess, Kevin Michael Richardson as Beast Man, and Harley Quinn Smith as Ileena round out the cast.

Tell us, are you looking forward to Masters of the Universe: Revelation, Part 2? You can check out our review of Part 1 here.

I actually enjoyed part one. I have no major connection to the original though. But I do feel the reaction was a bit overblown.

@Oberlin4Prez - right there with you. This was pretty much the first thing ever I saw of He-Man, I was pleasantly surprised. Glad we're getting to return so soon already

@Oberlin4Prez - Yes, especially with Teela. I'm glad she's been fleshed out a little. Curious about Savage He-Man too. That said, the one in the 2004 was also great. I guess we're not getting She-Ra or the Horde due to the princesses of power.

Liked part one a lot, so cool to see part two is coming so soon already. I do get why the hardcore fans were dissappointed, but even then this show had a lot of good things to offer

@bkmeijer - Is it worth watching or easy to get into? I never saw any He-man cartoon before and know absolutely nothing about his lore or story.

@mastakilla39 - for me it was. Overall it does a solid job establishing the characters and the world they inhibit and pretty easy to watch

I mean, tease he man all you want. Doesn't mean we'll believe you that he's gonna be in much of it.

Enjoyed Part One a lot, felt it was way too short, so I'm glad the hiatus hasn't been too long. Hoping for a longer season this go-round.

He first season just teased He-Man as well.

first part was pretty good, I would've changed maybe a couple of things but overall it's the most solid He-Man thing ever from what little I know of the franchise.
the fact that Kevin Smith made a bunch of manbabies Big Mad is just a plus to be honest :p

I'm confused. If the sword just controls the power within He-Man, and holds no power within itself, how does it then give Skeletor more power? (I don't actively watch He-Man, I'm just curious if there's an answer for that)
Spidey91
Spidey91 - 10/13/2021, 7:49 AM
@pestulio07 - if I remember correctly, per this specific show, Adam actually doesn't have power himself, the sword is actually a conduit for Eternia's energy to flow into him. and the He-Man persona is actually a mantle passed on for generations. that's why Skeletor is able to gain its power.

pestulio07 - 10/13/2021, 9:05 AM
@Spidey91 - That's what I figured too, but I saw an article earlier saying that Savage He-Man has the power of multiple He-Men, and the sword was there to control the power or something. Eh, maybe I'm wrong.

so we gonna see more of He-Man this time around? cuz part one was more like...Teela and the masters of the universe

I’m shocked that I enjoyed the new CGI Masters cartoon a lot more than Smiths He-Teela version.
I think I’ll avoid part 2, I don’t feel like hearing another crying angry fit by the show runner while they insult and call fans names cause they weren’t impressed by his mediocre writing.

I actually really liked Part 1, it was legitimately one of the better American action cartoons of late. Hoping I enjoy the rest as well.
