American Horror Story Season 10 just got a little bit creepier. Series creator Ryan Murphy, who has been drip-feeding fans clues about the upcoming season, announced the latest addition to the cast: Spencer Novich.
A relative unknown, Novich's IMDB lists him as an actor, writer, director, and -- perhaps most important to his role in American Horror Story -- a contortionist. In the review of Blanc de Blanc at the Magic Mirrors Spiegeltent, Aussie Theatre described Novich's body contortions as "both amazing and grotesque, like a train wreck you can’t seem to look away from." In other words, perfect for AHS, as also evidenced by his extremely creepy audition tap that Murphy says helped land him the job.
Specifics regarding AHS Season 10 remain a mystery, but that hasn't stopped Murphy from continuing to tease fans. The series creator has been dropping various clues about the upcoming season, and jokingly asked in his latest tweet if anyone had guessed the title yet.
The clues are mounting, but so far nothing major has been confirmed. Murphy's first clue was a photo of a sandy beach with little context. A follow-up promotional image featuring an open mouth with razor-sharp teeth also included the location Provincetown, Massachusetts. This was in addition to the cast announcement video that featured actors' names appearing over waves crashing on a beach.
American Horror Story Season 10 will premiere in 2021. Sarah Paulson will be returning alongside series regulars Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Finn Wittrock, Lily Rabe, Leslie Grossman, Adina Porter and Angelica Ross. The most notable addition to the season is former child star, Macaulay Culkin.
