Interesting news concerning Ridley Scott's upcoming Prometheus, has found it's way on the world wide web. Word has gotten out, that Ben Foster (3:10 To Yuma, Alpha Dog, X-Men: The Last Stand) has been casted for the film. Ben Foster will be joining Noomi Rapace, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green and Michael Fassbender.

"Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery."

At this point it is still not sure wether this project is indeed a prequel to Ridley Scott's Alien, or a stand alone film.

Prometheus is scheduled to hit cinemas June 8th, 2012.

I always confused him and Tom Felton because they look so much alike.

Maybe its just me, but im taking this as unofficial confirmation of the detailed plot summry that surfaced not too long ago. There seem to be a few points in this synopsis that appear to confirm details in that plot summary. But Alien prequel or no, Prometheus is already promising to give the Avengers a run for its money.

there are all kinds of rumors, including things stated by Ridley Scott that say this is taking place in the same universe as the Alien films. it won't have anything to do with the actual alien movies, but Xenomorphs will be present.

This is the movie I am most excited about that is coming out next year, a year that includes Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and the Avengers.
