WWE Superstar and former SmackDown Women's Champion Liv Morgan has frequently mentioned in interviews that she's a huge Chucky fan. When the USA Network (the home of WWE's RAW) greenlit a TV series, that seemed like the talented pro wrestler's best chance to share the screen with the killer doll, and it finally became a reality during the latest episode.
As expected, Morgan died at Chucky's hands, but not before a memorable interaction during his in-show sitcom.
Things appeared to be going well before the murderous scamp played a clip of Morgan saying in an interview that her dream would be to star in a Chucky project and be killed by him. With that, he takes out a knife and proceeds to violently stab his guest to death, prompting Morgan to fall to the floor (while her blood splatters across an overjoyed Tiffany's face).
We can't imagine the WWE Superstar will be winning any prizes for her acting abilities, but this must have been an absolute blast for her and a literal dream come true.
During a recent interview, Morgan reflected on the experience of joining the Chucky franchise, comparing it to her experiences in the squared circle.
"It felt very familiar, being in that setting; it's like I was at work in WWE," she recalled. "I didn't realize how much WWE prepares you for something like this - the cameras, the backstages - when I was filming 'Chucky' it felt like I was filming backstage for WWE, it felt so similar, which was very comforting."
The Chucky TV series has been a hit with fans, and while a cameo appearance like this feels a little gimmicky, it's a great way to appeal to wrestling fans and give the horror series a ratings boost. For those who enjoy Morgan's work in the squared circle - and she's had a great 2022 - this serves as a compelling excuse to check the show out too.
