Another day goes by without even a sniff of a trailer, but we've got some great behind-the-scenes pictures from the set of Tim Burton's Dark Shadows. These are pretty exciting for long time fans as we get our first look at original cast members of the campy television series: David Selby, Lara Parker, Jonathan Frid, and Kathryn Leigh Scott. All four will be making cameos in the film alongside legendary rocker Alice Cooper, who can also seen below.

This May, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp team up to bring us their re-imagining of the classic series DARK SHADOWS. The story of Barnabas Collins and his Collinsport companions has enthralled audiences since it first aired in the late 60s. Now, FM is celebrating the return of DARK SHADOWS with THE most complete coverage you’ll find anywhere. With new and exclusive FM interviews from the original cast members Jonathan Frid, Lara Parker, David Selby, Katherine Leigh Scott, and more, plus a conversation with new DS director, Tim Burton, issue 261 is the place for all things DARK SHADOWS. To celebrate, one of FM’s favorite cover artists—Jason Edmiston (254 Vincent Price, 255 Voldemort)—brings us his vision of “The Barnabi”, Jonathan Frid and Johnny Depp as we bridge the divide between the SHADOWS of the past and the SHADOWS of the future.

Dark Shadows also stars Helena Bonham-Carter, Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green, Chloe Moretz and Jackie Earle Haley. The film will be in theaters May 11th, 2012.

I usually defend the non cbm stuff that gets covered here. But could someone explain this one to me because I'm at a loss as to why we should give a shit about dark shadow. I mean by show of hands who wants to see these articles gone.

HEY, TIM BURTON HATERS, EAT A DICK! IF NOT FOR HIM AND HIS VISION IN THE 1989 BATMAN FILM, THERE WOULDN'T BE ANY BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES, BATMAN BEGINS OR DARK KNIGHT, ETC.! THAT MAN OPENED THE DOOR FOR THE "DARK KNIGHT" INSTEAD OF JUST HAVING THE CAMPY "WORLDS GREATEST DETECTIVE"! AND I KNOW BEFORE NOLANS FILMS CAME OUT HIS BATMAN MOVIES WERE YOUR FAVORTIES, THAT IS B4 YOU FLIPPED ON A DIME AND STARTED HATIN ON IT. SO AGAIN, EAT A BAT-DICK!!!

Love Burton. Love Depp. But like everything associated with Hollywood - when they actually make a GREAT movie they then sequel-ize it to the point of oblivion.

I hope it's good - but I hope Depp "Jumps ship" if they drag on like "Pirates of the Caribbean" which outstayed its welcome LONG after the FIRST film.

yeah everyone should see Alice live. I have been seeing him every time he comes around since I was 12 I am now 21 so thats 9 straight years and because I live in New England sometimes I will go and see his shows multiple times throughout the New England area. Its truly an event not to be missed. But its always a nice surprise to see Coop on the screen

Alice Cooper is AWESOME!!! Anyone who gets the chance to go see him open for Iron Maiden this summer should DEFINITELY do so. Gonna be a hell of a show! (Unquestionably better than this crap. Although because of him, this is the first time I have clicked on any article about this movie.)

@Durango95
Its Billion Dollar Babies.
Also the entire Schools Out album, Love It To Death, Killer, Welcome to my Nightmare (1 and 2), Alice Cooper Goes to Hell, Hey Stoopid, Last Temptation and Brutal Planet were all albums that had each track as a piece of Rock Gold. Every album has a few songs that are great but I think those albums are the ones that you can just cruise through.

@-ELgUaSoN-Interesting observation, but you have it backwards. The Crow and (Heath Ledger's) Joker look like Alice's love children, since he pre-dates them.

I always have respect for filmmakers who do re-makes and bring back the original cast in parts. Whether the movie is good or not, this shows class on Burton's part.

P.S. Even though I have great childhood memories of this show, my wife and I watched re-runs when the 90's show came out. It did not age well. It was a soap opera, for crying out loud.
