Below we have the first images from the Boston set of the Ghostbusters reboot. As you can see, a brunette Kristin Wiig was snapped alongside director Paul Feig, and we have some pics of her co-stars Kate McKinnon and Melissa McCarthy too. There's also a shot of the old Everett High School which has been disguised as the “Bronx Kuyper Middle School” for the purposes of the movie.

None of the original team are expected to appear, but we might just see their gluttonous green ghost pal Slimer! In The Boston Herald's report on the recent plot details they reckon they've confirmed the little fella will indeed be returning... so perhaps this won't be a FULL reboot after all?

[Kristen] Wiig and [Melissa] McCarthy play a pair of unheralded authors who write a book positing that ghosts are real. Flash forward a few years and Wiig lands a prestigious teaching position at Columbia U. (Like the original, the story takes place in New York City, even though it’s being shot in Boston.) Which is pretty sweet, until her book resurfaces and she is laughed out of academia. Wiig reunites with McCarthy and the other two proton pack-packing phantom wranglers, and she gets some sweet revenge when ghosts invade Manhattan and she and her team have to save the world.

Ghostbusters will also star Chris Hemsworth and is set to hit cinemas July 22, 2016.
