The Nightmare On Elm Street series has long been regarded as the most high-brow and creative of the mega horror franchises, so our goal is to make a film that reflects those qualities. While His Name Was Jason was campy and off-the-wall, this documentary will offer a serious chronological account of the creative process – the hardships and triumphs behind one of Hollywood’s most iconic characters. Above all else, this is not a fluff or promotional piece for the upcoming remake but rather will focus on the original series of films that began with Wes Craven’s 1984 classic.”

Who would have ever thought the kid who played Kelly in Bad News Bears would come out blistering in later years of his life as one of the most talented, underrated actors out there. Little Children, Watchmen, now the new Freddy, Jackie Earle Haley is on fire. Too bad it took hollywood twenty years to find this out. The man is blue chip as an actor.

Oh hell yes. Freddy's back.

The first Freddy film I saw was Dream Warriors too. One of the best Elm st. movies. Nightmare on Elm Street 1 was classic. Johnny Depp's bed pool of blood!

The second one being the lamest and the most homo-erotic of them all... yeah it was weird.

Jackie is gonna rock as Freddy but Robert Englund will always be the true Freddy even though Jackie is such a good actor, he will make the role his own

I love this franchise and I am actually excited to see Jackie Earle Haley's Freddy. Freddy Vs. Jason was funny to me, but disappointing. Dream Warriors was the best of the sequels, but the First was classic.

Freddy is awesome. Loved 1, 2, and 3, although 3 is when it started getting a bit cartoony. Freddy had the scariest concept, but Michael Myers was always my favorite.

@dellamorte, Yeah that BBQ scene was great! Used to give me nightmares when i was a kid, but i guess that was the point!

The first one is the best hands down. The key to the first one's success was the story. After the first, they focused too much on the thrills and gore.

I hope - like the first one - the remake will not only keep you scared, but also interested.

Nice! I've been watching the Nightmare movies since they came out, and ironically I've never had a Freddy dream/nightmare. I've only ever had dreams of Jason chasing me around the ol' neighborhood. I always thought my Jason dreams were kinda fun. I had a couple that scared the crap outta me, but for the most part not. I hope this new Nightmare will be creepy scary. Not just make you jump in your seat, but make you have to turn on lights and crap. I haven't had to do that in 20 years. Damn I'm old, kinda.

they aren't going to make the Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash movie anymore. the studio didn't think it would make enough money. instead, the comic book series that came out a couple years back is the same script and story and events that WERE going to be the movie. when the movie got scrapped the writer and director had the movie put out as a comic.

Hell that would be the ultimate showdown, ya never know they still might do it an i know what you mean about ENGLUND being replaced, but yeah if its anyone it should be HALEY! An as far as i know its a DOC dont what format it'll be in yet, maybe online, could be dvd, i'll hav'ta look out for more news!

looks cool!...did yall c the concept, for the new one,on youtube? its awsome i like the whole fire demon thing,much respect too the old ones but i hope he(freddy)doesnt wise crack too much,thats where they lost me. dream warriors was the last good one, but even then he was getting pretty anoiying...i hope it has the darkness of the first 2, plus more of his back story....they actually did an episode of freddys nightmares like that ,where he was just fred kruger,child merderer....it was cool as hell...really it was the only cool episode,let alone the only one with him in it!
