For the life of me, I will never understand this fascination with remaking classics. Fright Night is one of the best vampire movies OF ALL TIME! I think a greater challenge might be taking a shit movie and turning it into cinematic gold. I do like the cast of this movie a great deal, but the filmmakers better bring something fresh, new, and cool to the table, or this movie will never hold a candle to the original.

@all the gay vampire talk- don't base all of your views on the myth on modern vampire movies. Nosferatu, nosferatu remake (1977), vampyr, lost boys, salem's lot.. etc

As for the bitching moaners on this remake... the original is a lot of fun, but it rips off of salem's lot repeatedly, a movie of the same genre/myth/villain still doesnt need to rip off major details and characters. this movie could be great, The Thing is a horror classic, yet a remake of The Thing From Another World... not all remakes are bad.. Let ME In proves that as well.
