Following the success of his directorial debut with
Get Out, director/writer Jordan Peele has revealed the name of his next film:
Us.
Peele announced the title on his social media accounts, revealing a new poster along with it.
Peele will write and direct the upcoming film which the poster teases to be a
"new nightmare from the mind of Academy Award winner Jordan Peele."
Get Out received an Oscar nomination for best picture (lost to
The Shape of Water), while Peele went on to win best original screenplay for the horror/thriller. The film went on to gross $255 million worldwide.
But now, all eyes are on Peele's next movie,
Us. Despite Universal Pictures and Peele's Monkeypaw Productions keeping plot details heavily under wraps, Variety
reports that Lupita Nyong'o (
Black Panther) is in talks to stars, with Elisabeth Moss (
The Handmaid's Tale) eyed as the "top choice" for another role. It's also reported that Winston Duke (
Black Panther) is being eyed for another lead role in the movie.
Us has a release date set for March 15, 2019.
