Jessica Chastain has once again shown her interest in joining the cast of It: Chapter 2, this time during an interview for her upcoming film Molly's Game. Chastain has been one of the most popular fan suggestions for the casting of grown-up Beverly Marsh.
The actress mentioned a big part of what makes her want to join the project is her friendship with Andy and Barbara Muschietti, the film's director and producer. She went on to say: "Listen, of course, I want to work… they’re my friends. They’re like my family, so anything that they’re doing I want to be a part of, so I hope we can make it happen."
Chastain's costar in Molly's Game, Idris Elba, also seemed intrigued by the possibility of joining the cast when he was told about fans who think he'd be the perfect choice for Mike Hanlon. "Get me in," he said to Chastain with a nudge.
Elba, however, admitted that he hasn't seen the first It film, and Chastain was quick to point out that it might be because he's too afraid of the cannibal clown monster.
