NEON and Topic Studios have debuted the first trailer for Brandon Cronenberg's Infinity Pool, and if you thought the filmmaker might take things in a slightly less twisted direction after Possessor and Antiviral, think again!

The movie stars Alexander Skarsgård and Cleopatra Coleman as a couple attempting to relax while on holiday at an isolated resort. When they meet a mysterious traveller (Mia Goth) and decide to take a risk by joining her and some friends on a hedonistic night out, things take a very dark turn after a tragic accident.

At this point, a sci-fi/horror element is introduced, as Skarsgård's character is told that, for a price, he can be "replicated," with his double paying the price for his crimes.

Check out the trailer below along with a poster and full synopsis for a better idea of what to expect.

"While staying at an isolated island resort, James (Alexander Skarsgård) and Em (Cleopatra Coleman) are enjoying a perfect vacation of pristine beaches, exceptional staff, and soaking up the sun. But guided by the seductive and mysterious Gabi (Mia Goth), they venture outside the resort grounds and find themselves in a culture filled with violence, hedonism, and untold horror. A tragic accident leaves them facing a zero tolerance policy for crime: Either you’ll be executed, or, if you’re rich enough to afford it, you can watch yourself die instead."

Infinity Pool is set to hit theaters on January 27, 2023.

Possessor was Fantastic. Not sure about this one. Can already feel Goth being over heralded which seems to be a thing with young actresses lately.

Wow! Mia Goth has come a long way since her early “porn disguised as an art film” days. Good for her.
