the first half of the first movie was genuinely scary, but the second half wasn't. hopefully this one is scary throughout.

I loved, loved, loved the 1st half of Insidious. And the Tiny Tim song was stuck in my head for weeks.

LOL were they really trying to scare us with that, what a joke. I think Insidious is one of those films that is meant to be taken seriously but I can't come in terms with doing so. It just feels like a cheap horror comedy to me right to the end. If you missed the first part of Insidious go on one of those cheap haunted house rides at a theme park where you have these random stuff popping all over everywhere and imagine the ride took over an hour plus everything was broken down, that was my experience with the film entirely.

I am still going to give chapter 2 a chance and hope they fix the mistakes from the first film. James Wan is a good director, just needs better scripts and ideas to work around with.

I loved this film and it scared the shit outta me. Let's hope the sequel would be even better.

The first one was meh. I will give it credit for making me crap my pants with this scene.
