We don't know when, how, or why, but Jim Beaver will be returning to this season of Supernatural! Last season, Bobby was revealed to have been transported to hell after his flask was burned. Bobby escaped hell, and with the help of Naomi, ascended into heaven. However, in the season finale, all the angels were exiled from heaven, falling from the sky. Now it seems that Bobby could have been among them!

Interesting note:
Through season 5, the brighter color scheme was used in order to indicate a dream or altered reality sequence. With season 6 and on, the episodes are shot in this shading rather than the darker colors of previous seasons. I would love if they connected this "altered" reality of the past few seasons into the episode "The End" from season 5. I think it could be quite the dramatic turn if at the end of season 9 we find out the apocalypse is still on and that season 10 is the grand finale where everything connects back together. This would literally make me the happiest fan on earth if the writers decided to connect both major plots of season 1-5 and then 6-10.

Yeah I'm hoping they connect what we saw in "The End" to the ninth/tenth seasons. When Lucifer said "Whatever you do, you will always end up here. Whatever choices you make, whatever details you alter, we will always end up.. here. I win. So, I win," I was praying he would be right but thought the show would be over by then.

It looks like theyre on track to making that happen (aside from the croatoan stuff)

riddlemethis09 - im pretty sure somehow they will come full circle and at least end the show along the lines eric kripke first envisioned. so i wouldnt be surprised if something like what you suggested happened
