Joe Carnahan is going to be a very busy man indeed. It was recently announced that he had begun work on the Nemesis screenplay with his brother, and he also has several other projects in the pipeline at Fox. Well now he can add Vampire flick Undying Love to his slate. It was previously reported that Piranha director Alexandre Aja would helm an adaptation of the Image comic, but obviously that fell through. Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman created the graphic novel and wrote the first script draft, Michael De Luca and Stephen L’Heureux and Benderspink are producing. “I really took to it, and the metric I use is how fast I come up with ideas and an outline, and this brought about a bunch of ideas,” Said Carnahan to Deadline. “It is a little out of my wheelhouse, taking place in China with mysticism and swordplay, but there is a lot of potential here.”

A horror-action tale, equal parts vampire mythology and Chinese folklore, set in modern day Hong Kong. Ex-soldier John Sargent has fallen for a beautiful Chinese woman named Mei.

The only thing keeping the star-crossed lovers apart: Mei's a vampire. To free Mei from the curse, Sargent sets out to destroy the vampire that made her. The only problem: Mei was turned by one of the most powerful vampires in history..

Finally! A new bad ass vampire movie! I'll be keeping my eye on this.

I've had enough of Twilight. Hopefully we'll get a Blade 4 someday as well.

I would rather have a sick Werewolf movie too. Something in the vein of The Howling and that Werewolf tv-series from 80´s.

In the matter of fact they should bring the Werewolf By Night to the big screen. That would make a badass horror series.

Anyway i hope the Vampires are something like in Fright Night and 30 Days of Night.

Is that art from the series? It looks like someone took a movie poster for some terrible throwaway nineties action film and ran it through a basic cartooning filter.
