Jonah Hill & Emma Stone Offered Roles In GHOSTBUSTERS 3?

It must be scoop day in Schmoeville! After reporting on the casting for both the Man Of Steel sequel and Terminator 5, the boys now have news on the troubled Ghostbusters threequel. Will Hill and Stone sign on to kick some specter ass?

We all thought this one would fall by the wayside after a very stormy start, but it seems as if production is going ahead on the long-delayed Ghostbusters 3. Dan Akroyd and co. may not have been able to convince 'ol Bill Murray (Peter Venkman) to return, but he may just have nabbed two of the hottest young properties in Hollywood as a consolation prize. According to The Schmoes' source, both Jonah Hill and Emma Stone have been offered the parts of a couple of characters named Jeremy and Anna. Who might they be? Well it's already been confirmed that this movie would deal with the original team recruiting younger members top take their place, so one would assume Anna and Jeremy must be two of 'em. This isn't the first time Hill's name has been mentioned in connection with this movie, as the actor has hinted that he'd be interested, in a jokey way, in the past. Of course even if this offer has been made, there's nothing to say these two talented actors will accept -- but what would you think of this casting if it worked out?

So many false starts with this movie. I've been waiting on GB3 since I first heard about it....in 1999!!

yeah, Jonah Hill is kinda ok, but he's not Ghostbuster. I like Bill Hader. I think he's worthy. That's all I can think of right now. Oh, wait, Craig Robinson, too.

Figured they needed a chubby guy. Thought they'd consider Seth Rogen though.

just don't get Rogen And Franco on board. Unless it's the Pineapple Express 2 we are talking about.

Didn't they use the Ghostbusters 3 script that Dan Aykroyd wrote to make the last Ghostbusters video game?

@ Giznad: YESSSSS Bill Hader would be AMAZING! He'd be my #1 pick, especially since he's now off SNL.

No, no, no to Jack Black as all his characters act the same, and pleeeeease do not have Seth Rogan as he'd be a big disappointment (Green Hornet anyone). These two would be perfect and I REALLY hope it is true!!!!

God I hate Jonah Hill... he should not be in another movie as long as he lives! Seriously, if he's in GB3 it will officially become THE WORST film in the series. Emma Stone on the other hand would be cool, Frick Jona Hill dude plays the same dumb ass character in every single movie he absolutely can NOT act.

Personally, I just find Jack Black annoying. Again, that is just my personal opinion. So to have someone that I cannot stand be a part of my most cherished movie would stink. I just think there is better talent out there such as Bill Hader, Bobby Moynihan, Cecily Strong, or Jay Pharoah. Based on my selections, you can clearly see that they need to tap the SNL crew as they did in the previous movie.

the actors they should get other than Emma Stone are: David Krumholtz, Neil Patrick Harris, Jimmy Fallon, Jaleel White, and Johnny Galecki... you could also throw in Jim Parsons.

However if they bring in Kylie Griffin they have to use Christina Ricci... no one else could pull it off.
