I still have not seen any of these RE movies actually resemble the games.

They really need to do a complete reboot of this. The RE films completely destroyed the name of Resident Evil and besides how can you have Ada Wong but not have Leon Kennedy? He was by far the best RE character. Maybe the reboot should be the direct story from RE2.

Don't worry Arminies. They'll just reboot the series when (if) it finally dies.

I know where is the Avengers trailer?........But on another note about this article I can see P.S. Anderson trying to put the iniative in replicating the good parts of the Resident Evil games, but the fact is he fails horrbly at it and the problem is that he trying to emulate so much of the game experience instead of making a good movie that not only does this movie series need a reboot but a outline on how to make a fully cordinated timeline of the game series and better extent writers.

NUMMY! And personally to all the haters, deal with it! They are adaptations not retellings of the games, which allows them to tell new stories. You know things that we haven't seen or played already.

Isn't Ada Wong American?

Why didn't they just cast that actual Chinese character... Fi Ling or whatever her face was. Not complaining, just wondering why they'd bother introducing her after they're already out of the city... and Leon's... you know... dead. Bastards. Played RE2 before RE1, so always been partial to Leon and Ada.

Best thing to do is religiously transcribe 'Resident Evil 5' into a screenplay, get some chick who's sooo hot she makes your eyes bleed to play 'Sheva' , Neill Blomcamp(District 9) to direct it and Viola-!, you got your self a winner!

Why are they even making another one? They all were HORRIBLE! No more chicks in the lead role get Leo or Chris, and a good director, like Synder, Dawn of the Dead was nice. and reboot.

@LoganX35 - So you are a fan? I'm a fan of resident evil and I don't mind the movie to have differences from the game, but the series is horrible.

The first movie has some action, bad actingand and some hot chicks and it doesn't has the creepy atmosphere that the series is known for. Also no characters from the game, not even one. But for their first attempt I let it pass.

But for the sequel they [frick] it up even more. If someone like it than he is no RE fan. Not only the acting was bad, but they also detroy the personalities of our characters. The nemesis monster was a pussy. Alice beat him with her bare hands. This movie was just horrible.

The third was actually a lot better. The acting was better(not good, but better), the action was better, but the biggest suprise was that it has the creepy atmosphere that the series is known for. If there was one negative it is the telekinetic powers.

So I had high hopes for the sequel. But the sequel go back to the bad stuff. Bad acting, no creepy atmosphere, even for a resident evil movie bad story and too much slow motion. The characters are bad. Alice has to be the worst character ever in the RE movie series. Chris Redfield was not the Redfield from the series. They even try to make him look like him and he end up look more like a weird guy.

Also there's no creativity.

that video you posted MrSuperheromoviefan is stupid.. how is the movie version LAME when it is exactly the same thing except sheva is replaced by Clair? *rolls eyes* your only hating on it because it is the movie version. I'm a huge RE fan been with the series since day one and I don't mind the movies, when the first one came out I saw it as a prequel to the games but then 0 came out and killed that. it's essentially an alternate reality where Alice got involved. speaking of her I read she is going to be in the RE6 game.

@Osiris - If I want to see the same battle I would play the game. Movies are all about creativity, not rippoffs.

@jazzman

Yeah, my comment was not well written, my concern is mostly that this woman will have an accent -- they should have cast a Chinese-American actress. I am really not familiar with this new woman's body of work. I don't mind if she did have an accent, but hopefully it won't be too distracting.

Ah well, I bet she grew up in Vancouver anyways, so the accent probably won't even be an issue, but still... bit too skinny for my tastes.

Hopefully she can act... hehe... hahaha... sorry.
