LOCKE & KEY Movie On The Way At Universal
Although the tv series was never picked up, it seems fans of Joe Hill's acclaimed comic series will have a feature to look forward to as Universal has optioned Locke & Key, with Star Trek/Transformers duo Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci on board as producers.
It seems there's life in Locke & Key yet. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal has optioned Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez' comic series - which tells the story of a family's battle against supernatural forces in their ancestral home - for the big screen. Fans will of course remember when the pilot for a tv series based on the comic failed to get picked up by Fox, despite garnering praise from most people who managed to see it. THR report that Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Bobby Cohen will produce via their Universal-based K/O Paper Products banner. Ted Adams, the CEO and publisher of IDW Publishing, the company behind the comic, will also produce.
