MANCHESTER BY THE SEA Actor Kyle Chandler Joins The Cast Of GODZILLA: KING OF MONSTERS
Following the news that Millie Bobby Brown had joined the cast of the Godzilla sequel, it's now being reported that Kyle Chandler has signed on to play her character's father. More past the jump...
According to Variety, Kyle Chandler (Manchester by the Sea, Bloodline, Super 8) is the second major casting addition to Legendary's Godzilla: King of Monsters. Chandler has made a career out of playing fatherly/mentor roles over the years, and that's set to continue in this sequel as he'll be co-starring as Millie Bobby Brown's character's dad.
Plot details are still under wraps, but it's a safe bet the story will involve giant monsters wrecking stuff while humans try to stay out of their way. Hopefully, we'll also get a little tease of the big fella's inevitable showdown with King Kong.
Krampus director Michael Dougherty takes over from Gareth Edwards on Godzilla: King of Monsters, which is set for release on March 22, 2019.
