This May, Tim Burton and Johnny Depp team up to bring us their re-imagining of the classic series DARK SHADOWS. The story of Barnabas Collins and his Collinsport companions has enthralled audiences since it first aired in the late 60s. Now, FM is celebrating the return of DARK SHADOWS with THE most complete coverage you’ll find anywhere. With new and exclusive FM interviews from the original cast members Jonathan Frid, Lara Parker, David Selby, Katherine Leigh Scott, and more, plus a conversation with new DS director, Tim Burton, issue 261 is the place for all things DARK SHADOWS. To celebrate, one of FM’s favorite cover artists—Jason Edmiston (254 Vincent Price, 255 Voldemort)—brings us his vision of “The Barnabi”, Jonathan Frid and Johnny Depp as we bridge the divide between the SHADOWS of the past and the SHADOWS of the future.

Dark Shadows also stars Helena Bonham-Carter, Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green, Chloe Moretz and Jackie Earle Haley. The film will be in theaters May 11th, 2012.

Anyone who thinks Helena Bonham Carter is ugly has some serious issues that they need to have looked at.

tea@ I agree with you on that. Who knows this could still be a decent movie but that Barnabas just doesnt strike me (the suit is cool thou).
Maybe because i grow up watching the original show. Johnny just doesnt have samekind of charisma which Frid had.

Everybody familiar with Depp/Burton/HBC knows this is their style. So after all these films, if you hate them and still came to this site, you can only be here to troll. The kneejerk "Burton's a hack who casts the goth Depp & Carter in Kabuki makeup to cash in at Hot Topic where you can buy Danny Elfman's soundtrack that's just a rehash of all his other scores and stuff he stole from Hans Zimmer" reaction is more boring than you claim their films to be. I'm excited to see it. But as consolation to you, Burton's next several films don't include Depp or HBC. The eccentric threesome may have broken up.
