WORLD WAR Z Official Trailer #2 (2013) [HD] by All Thats Bueno

There's been rumors and even a few confirmations of an inflated budget, last minute script rewrites and general displeasure from the camps of the star actor, director and studio alike. But with the debut of a cool poster earlier and the newest theatrical trailer above, are things starting to look up for World War Z?

The film boasts a cast that includes Pitt, Matthew Fox, James Badge Dale and Mireille Enos and is directed by Marc Forster. Drew Goddard, Damon Lindelof and Matthew Michael Carnahan have all worked on the script at one point or another. The film hits US theaters June 21, 2013.

United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) traverses the world in a race against time to stop the Zombie pandemic that is toppling armies and governments, and threatening to decimate humanity itself. Mireille Enos plays Gerry’s wife Karen Lane; Daniella Kertesz is his comrade in arms, Segen.”

The book looks so much better. Do yourselves a favor and see if you can buy it used for cheaper price than the cost of a movie ticket. It will probably give you many more hours of entertainment and thought that this film will.

I think this looks good.
Apart from "Man of Steel" that's probably the only flick I'll see in a theater this Spring.

I can't wait to see this movie!!! Finally a different take on zombies, I'm tired of the same old slow moving zombies. The faster zombies from Dawn of The Dead (remake) were cool for awhile but now every zombie movie does that. I like the insect or rodent way they climb over each other to get to their prey. This could be like 30 Days of Night, now those were some badass Vampires not the run of the mill goth rock star vampires.

I haven't read the book (it's one of the top on my must-read list), but I have to say I can't wait to see this movie. From the other comments, I seem to be one of the few. Oh well...

I really do not like the idea of zombies being capable of things they couldn't do when the were alive. The way they run, leap and climb us just no zombie like at all. Ill pass on this one

I do worry that I haven't seen one close up of the zombies in this trailer. That's sad. This could have been great. Oh well. I only have a budget for Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Wolverine and Pacific Rim. Everything else can be seen on DVD.

You can hear the audio book on Youtube.

I recommend it, Mark Hamill is great in his role.

@AlexTheKaiser

Well, if you did read the book you'd know that the entire plot of the film is different from the one Max Brooks wrote. His book was a documentary type project after the event to understand what happened during the Zombie Apocalypse and why it happened. This is a race against time type film to locate the origins of the virus to find an anecdote. Basically, the film simplifies the entire premise of the catastrophe into another simplified Hollywood formula where the good guys have to find a simple cure to a complicated problem.

Love the book. Love it. This is not even an attempted adaptation of the book, why even call it World War Z?

Those aren't zombie's. I don't know what kind of CGI'd creature they're supposed to be, but they are not zombies.

This is a zombie

This is a zombie

These are zombies

But these ARE NOT ZOMBIES

Any questions?

@MisterNiceGuy: Yeah, because a zombie who chews skin off like it's caramel, tears your chest open like its paper and bites right through your skull to get to your brain is something a human could do.

I am of two minds on this one. On one hand I like what I see...the special effects look great and its a great take on zombies. The problem I have is that it is not World War Z. I'm tired of people taking stories I love and saying they are going to make a movie of it and then the movie has little to do with the story I loved. Call it something else...give it another title and then I may give it a chance. But they buy the rights because the original story has a great following and built in audience ready to spend money then they give us something barely recognizable to the original. You don't have to change the story to appeal to a larger audience...the story will do that...those who have not read it will still love it because they will be exposed to it where they had no idea what it was before. I think Strazinski's original script was the movie they should have made.
