Among several other projects, Sydney Sweeney is attached to star in a new Sleepy Hollow movie from Sony Pictures, and the film has now found its Brom Bones.
Deadline reports that Off Campus star Belmont Cameli will play Bones, aka Brom Van Brunt, who serves as the secondary antagonist in most versions of the tale. The character was played by Casper Van Dien in Tim Burton's 1999 adaptation.
Ichabod Crane has yet to be cast.
Based on Lindsey Anderson Beer’s debut novel, Hollow, this take on the spooky story will shift focus to Katrina Van Tassel (Sweeney).

Cameli has also appeared in Until Dawn and The Alto Knights.
Beer is also attached to direct. LuckyChap is producing along with Beer and her Lab Brew banner as well as Sweeney, who will produce through her new Honey Trap banner; Hollow is Honey Trap’s first film as producer. The newly launched company recently announced a first-look deal with Sony Pictures.
Beer previously directed the Stephen King adaptation Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, which premiered at Fantastic Fest and broke Paramount+ records for viewership. She also wrote and executive produced the Cyrano de Bergerac retelling Sierra Burgess is a Loser
One of the other Sony projects Sweeney has in the pipeline is a remake of kitchy sci-fi comedy Barbarella, which is still moving forward despite rumors to the contrary.
Deadline recently confirmed that Sweeney is "already working" on the movie as part of a new first-look deal with Sony.
