THE CONJURING Stars Vera Farmiga & Patrick Wilson Set To Reprise Their Roles In ANNABELLE 3

For the sixth installment of The Conjuring universe, the franchise is going back to its roots. The property, which is based on the files of the Warren paranormal investigative team, is once again turning to Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga to bring in the goods. The pair, who were last seen in 2016's The Conjuring 2, have sat out the last few spinoffs.

Details on their capacity in the third Annabelle film are vague, only pointing out that the pair will only be sporting supporting roles for this outing. Wilson and Farmiga are also expected to return when The Conjuring 3 starts production next year. Annabelle 3, which is not the film's official title, also stars Katie Sarife as the lead with franchise vet Gary Dauberman in the director's chair. The film is aiming for a July 2019 release.

I love me some Vera Farmiga. I've had a celebrity crush on her most of my life.

@BlackBeltJones - oh yes, and she has this natural elegance, like a classy classic Hollywood vibe I just eat up. Such a great actress, and vavavoom boy oh boy is she a looker lol even older she still is gorgeous. But this is coming from a man who to this day would still bed Betty White in a second. Just Betty, my white mained goddess...

@ArthurFleck - First noticed her in the bonkers movie 15 Minutes back in 2001. Not a good film but she was so damn sexy in it.

Fantastic.
Best on screen couple in modern films.

That is the real power of these Horror films. A strong, loving marriage between two people.

Who would have thought? 👻 😃👍❤️👍😃 👻

@IronGenesis - I've yet to watch any of these movies in the Conjuring series, but I love me some Patrick Wilson and some Vera Farmiga so I tend to believe you.

@ArthurFleck - always beleive me 😉

But how many blockbuster films have married couples as their leads? It’s so everyday common and yet wonderfully unique to films.

What the difference between The Conjuring movies and the Annabelle movies? Why are they not just all called the Conjuring 2,3,4, etc? I've only seen the first The Conjuring.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - The Conjuring movies feature the Warrens working on various different cases. The Annabelle movies don't feature the Warrens and focus strictly on the doll.

@MUTO123 - Gotcha. I might as well watch them. Halloween season and all.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - You should. They're really good (except for the first Annabelle. And The Nun, apparently).

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - And they're doing another one based on the Crooked Man in Conjuring 2.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Yeah if you wanna do it chronologically (movie time-wise do Annabelle Creation, Conjuring, Conjuring 2. Skip, Annabelle and The Nun. L7ckily the franchise works perfectly well without them. You won't feel like you've missed anything.

@Catmanlives - Just rewatched Conjuring. I forgot a lot of it so it makes much more sense now why the Annabelle series is its own thing. Doing the sequel next and then moving on to the spin offs. I'll probably take your advice and skip those two, I didn't hear good things about them.

Well so far the franchise has scored 3 out of 5 hits with me (Conjuring 1/2, Annabelle Creation), and with these two being cast, this could well end up feeling like the Conjuring 3. Really like the premise too. Has the ingediants to be a lot of fun. Fingers crossed.
