NBC has pushed production on The Munsters remake Mockingbird Lane, taking it out of the running for a fall 2012 premier.

Insiders state that NBC wanted time to enhance certain elements of the production that they deem as a priority, rather than rush the script they have now into production. Shooting had originally been scheduled to start toward the end of this month in Vancouver. It is now being pushed to later this summer, and if it is picked up by the network may start running in the midseason of 2013.

Bryan Fuller is still lined up to direct the pilot from the script he had created. The pilot will center on Eddie Munster, whose nasty werewolf incident at a summer camp forces the Munster family to relocate to the decrepit mansion on 1313 Mockingbird Lane. No casting announcements have been made as of yet.

A plot synopsis for the pilot, possible spoilers, and character notes was posted toward the end of 2011 by nailbiter111.

The main plot of the show will revolve around Eddie Munster. A character that will be a pre-teen that will be suffering a "condition" which makes him become a werewolf. Once Eddie has a problem with his wolf-self his parents Herman and Lily are forced to move their family to protect their son.

Thanks to PaulRom for a heads-up.

Good. The less of Singer's garbage that hits the screen, the better.

I don't think you guys are understanding the article. The pilot isn't being scrapped. It's the exact opposite.

They've been having problems casting the series, so NBC is giving them more time to find a suitable cast as well as time to "enhance" the script. That actually means they're very interested in the project.

I've also notices a lot of people criticizing the show because of Bryan Singer, but this isn't Singer's show. He's directing the pilot and I believe he's a producer, but Bryan Fuller is the writer and showrunner. It's his show.

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but between Wonderfalls, Dead Like Me, Heroes Season 1 and Pushing Daisies, I'm a huge Fuller fan.

I'm looking forward to this show.

*whew*
A stay of execution from such a shitty idea! Hopefully, the drugs will wear off during the delay and they will realize what a galactically bad idea this is.
