US Director Jordan Peele Unveils The Creepy First Trailer For His Follow-Up To GET OUT

"We are our own worst enemy."

Get Out director Jordan Peel has shared the first trailer for Us, and it's seriously creepy stuff.

Black Panther stars Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke reunite to play a couple who take their two kids on summer vacation with some friends, only to discover twisted versions of themselves on their property. From there it looks like things are going to get even more disturbing as the family must fight to stay alive against enemies that know their every thought and move.

The teaser doesn't really provide any hints as to the origin of the evil doppelgangers, but knowing Peele he'll have a few tricks up his sleeve that very few will see coming.

Check out the trailer for Us along with a synopsis down below, and let us know what you think in the comments.

Set in present day along the iconic Northern California coastline, Us, from Monkeypaw Productions, stars Oscar® winner Lupita Nyong’o as Adelaide Wilson, a woman returning to her beachside childhood home with her husband, Gabe (Black Panther’s Winston Duke), and their two children (Shahadi Wright Joseph, Evan Alex) for an idyllic summer getaway. Haunted by an unexplainable and unresolved trauma from her past and compounded by a string of eerie coincidences, Adelaide feels her paranoia elevate to high-alert as she grows increasingly certain that something bad is going to befall her family. After spending a tense beach day with their friends, the Tylers (Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss, Tim Heidecker, Cali Sheldon, Noelle Sheldon), Adelaide and her family return to their vacation home. When darkness falls, the Wilsons discover the silhouette of four figures holding hands as they stand in the driveway. Us pits an endearing American family against a terrifying and uncanny opponent: doppelgängers of themselves.

Us is set for release on March 15, 2019.

Watched it once. It intrigued me, but I'm wondering if it didn't show too much overall. I'll just avoid watching the trailer again (or any new ones that might follow), and just go watch the movie when it's out.

Film looks interesting, it almost feels like it shows too much but at the same time nothing at all. Excited

@Armageddon26 - I’m curious why do you feel like it showed too much? This is an original film so we have nothing to based it off of. If you’re basing off the doppelgänger reveal, that would be hard pretty hard not to market. It looks like it’s a huge part of the plot.

Also I’m pretty sure that this will be the only trailer like we had with Get Out.

I get the whole you're your own worst enemy but this did nothing for me. Horror in general doesn't interest me but at least the trailers be cool. This didn't look scary at all to me

Merry Christmas everyone. Santa didn't bring me anything so I'm after his fat ass next year
