Wolfman a Rip-off of Twilight?

Wolfman a Rip-off of Twilight?

This is an email from an angry Twilight/New Moon fan. It is hilarious, but really sad at the same time. Give it a read.

One of the writers over at Latino Review normally gets quite a few emails regarding films, actors, reviews and the like. Most of them never see the light of day due to the colorful language or just lack of interesting content. But this email is definitely worth showing. You will laugh and you may even cry, either way, I think you need to read it. This is the email, word for word.

"To whom this may concern:

This movie was a complete waste and I feel that it offends ALL Twilight Fans around the world, that including myself. For one, it was a COMPLETE remaking of the Wolf Pack from the Twilight Saga: New Moon. It gives the werewolves a bad name and makes them look like some deformed mutation of a rabid dog. I actually started to like werewolves after seeing Jacob Black and all his awesomeness on the big screen at the movies. That was until I saw your crappy remake of what you call to be a "were wolf". I don't see how you live with yourself for making it the way you did. If I made this movie, I would be ashamed to even admit that I owned it. How can a werewolf be killed with a silver bullet? Better yet, have you saw the transformation of the man that is "supposed" to be the wolf? "

The Poser of who could never be even if they tried : " Aka : Rabid poser Werewolf "The Wolf Man"

OR My favorite: Taylor Daniel Lautner aka Jacob Black

TEAM JACOB- cuz hes a REAL WEREWOLVE!

Regards: Kayla Patterson ([email protected]) Feel free to reply

yes this is sad and mildly frustrating.......
it has been said that there are no more original ideas in Hollywood and that is imo a pretty accurate assessment.

but this person, from the looks of it maybe around the age of fourteen, totally disregards that Wolfman is a REMAKE. i haven't seen it yet but i'm itching to see it.
see what i did there?

all she can do is faun over Taylor Lautner who plays a "werewolf" in the Twilight series. i use the term werewolf lightly.

the original werewolf was fictionally called a disease by the name of Lycanthropy. this illness would cause someone if infected to mutate into a beast that walks like a man. hence the term: WOLFMAN!
btw, this disease only takes hold on a full moon and the infected suffer severe allergic reactions to.......
wait for it............
SILVER!!!!!!!

the Wolfman has been around for the past 69 years and this person has the audacity to call the remake a RIPOFF of the very film franchise that mutilated the very idea of lycanthropy?!!!!!!!

i would feel pity for this person if the e-mail were not so pathetic.

I'm pretty sure if you shot a wolf with a silver bullet it would still kill him

This girl sounds like she is not only unaware that The Wolfman came first, but that Taylor Lautner is not really a warewolf.

WOW!!!

ha ha ha ha ha haha hahahahahaahahhahahahah........

hahahahahahahahahahahh...........ok now that that's out of the way

The Wolfman was the original Werewolf to hit the big screen...silver screen to be precise. he was part of that original cast of universal monsters along with dracula, frankenstein (and his bride) and the Creature from the Black Lagoon.

now i am a Twilight fan (to a point) and have read the novels all the way thru and Jacob Black is NOT a damned werewolf but a form of shapeshifter who just so happens to prefer wolf form based on his bloodline.

and if push came to shove and there had to be a fight between the two we all know The Wolfman would win hands down.

like i said before...HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! kids these days...

Urban@ But a real werewolf wouldn't bite you in the neck, it would walk around shirtless and protect you from the mean bad vampire without fangs and then you could run off and live happily ever after in the woods with his shirtless friends. That's what REAL werewolves do.......duh.

@seanxvito Ive actually read the twilight books as well. You're right they do goes as far as saying that they are NOT werewolves. This is really laughable on many levels.

(sigh) You know, people ask me all the time, "Jay, why did you stop teaching high school? You were really good at it, why give it up?" THIS IS [frick]ING WHY!!! I swear to GOD half of my students were like this. I taught for three years, that's all I could take. Literally, pulling my [frick]ing hair out over these kids. I'm not an old guy, I'm 32; I had a great relationship with the kids, but it’s like they have no exposure to the world beyond last month’s pop culture. I remember reading and seeing old flicks and listening to different types of music when I was in high school and I wasn't a straight up nerd or anything like that I hung out with a little of everyone, played sports, acted, tried a little of everything and we all seemed to want to see more than what was right in front of us. These kids... I just don't know. Blank slates looking at more of the same. I taught history, most kids couldn’t tell me anything beyond what happened last week.

Don't get me wrong there are smart kids out there, lots of them. Most just seem unable to tap into it and then you get... this idiot.

However, please note that this is posted by a guy who tried to reheat a baked potato in the microwave tonight that was still wrapped in tinfoil and then went outside for a cigar... Yep, I'll be buying a new one tomorrow. So at least you know where this editorial is coming from… lol, I never said I was a genius.

Boekelaar - 2/21/2010, 10:07 PM
Nerosday @ I only just finished school and I can relate to your frustration, most kids are complete idiots. And people like Stephanie meyer are not helping the world by writing these godforesaken books, but you can't exactly blame our generation you have to blame the generation that raised us.
NERO
NERO - 2/21/2010, 10:12 PM
Totally agree, man. “Kill the babysitter” (TV) and actually interact with your kids, don't even get me started on the parents... or the teachers for that matter. I burned out, I quit. No need to hang around another twenty years not doing a damn thing to help the kids learn. The vast majority of teachers out there now should have bowed out years ago.

My God... and Stephanie Meyer is just a thief who recycles ideas from every other similarly themed story, but in an incredibly less interesting form...

HAHAHAHAHAHA now that is sad, beyond belief. The Wolfman movie is what REAL ware wolfs are, not this sad excuse of a warewolf in the Twilight Saga. Twilight is whats wrong with the new generation, Stephanie Meyer ruined Vampires and Warewolfs alike, she has created people like who wrote this letter, who take these things way to seriously, who use this fansaty world to escape there so called "crappy life"
juggy4711
juggy4711 - 2/21/2010, 11:13 PM
The email was really just sad. And whats worse is I've met really sharp kids that were this ignorant when it comes to things besides reading, writing, and math.

On the other hand I do have a question. There are several references to "warewolves" in the comments. Is that an alternate spelling I'm unaware of or just wrong? I've always seen it spelled "werewolves"
ecksmanfan
ecksmanfan - 2/21/2010, 11:28 PM
@juggy- Me thinks that this is a mistake. The only spelling I've ever seen is WEREWOLVES. God bless our education system...again.

@juggy--yeah, "Warewolves" is incorrect. the only other correct alternate spelling (besides the more common "werewolf") is "wehr-wolf"...
Boekelaar
Boekelaar - 2/22/2010, 2:34 AM
Yeah cop that Tom (TC) lmao, you can't blame the American education system for that because it's australias fault lol.

But there are serious problems with the world when people who can't write are rewarded with million dollar franchises, a lot of the people I know who are 'obsessed' with twilight only got into it after the first attrocitys movie trailer came out. Word of mouth is only good when the people speaking can speak intelligently, which is why the idiot sent that email. Of course they will think something is the best thing ever when it is more than likely the best book they've ever read or the best movie they've ever seen. If half of these tweens and teens had actually seen some of the amazing films that are out there and read a book by a decent author they wouldn't be crying with joy when Taylor lautner 'shape shifts' into a wolf.

@wadey I graduated last year too :D

Can someone show this idiot how something can be killed with a silver bullet, personally?

I mean, THIS is the person who is going to go out and have like eight kids. You know that right? Smart folks, maybe one or two, but she'll put out a half dozen easy all swimming in the shallow end of the gene pool. God help us.

HAHAHA!
Now THIS is a good joke.
I didn't believe that twilight fans are stupid, but this letter has prove me wrong.
1.This is a remake based of 1941 film. This movie has nothing to do with the horrible twilight series.
2.Where the [frick] are the werewolves in new moon?I have only see wolves.
3.I didn't know that werewolves are good, sweet and beautiful creatures.
