According to THR, Marvel's Iron Man 3 will be screen in 4DX at a theater in Nagoya, central Japan starting April 26th. The "Fourth dimension" effects utilized by the system include strobe lights, bubbles, titling and vibrating seats, blowing wind, fog and odour effects, all combined with what's going on on-screen. The 4DX system already is in use in theaters in China, South Korea, Thailand, Russia, Mexico, Israel and several countries in South America. Apparently CJ Group will be moving ahead with plans to bring the format to the U.S. this year, with a view to equipping 200 theaters over the coming five years. Sounds a bit distracting to me, any of you guys ever watched a movie in this format?
