"Robotman" , "Elastigirl", "Superwoman"... LMAO more of the "noun/descriptive word+man/woman/boy/girl" formula for comic names. So corny and played out.

This artwork is ok, but I think comic book artistry hit its peak in the 90's.

I was so happy to see the Doom Patrol in the last issue. I really want to see the DP get their own comic book series. I really would like to see Mento get to shine. But sadly I didn't see him. So I guess him and Elasti-Girl aren't married. It would been great to see that relationship again. Plus Beast Boy was their adopted son and I don't think any of that history exists either. Which in my opinion sucks. I also would like some day to see a Doom Patrol movie. But I know that won't ever happen.

Strange Elasti-girl. Bizarre and walking Chief. Arnold Drake would roll over in his grave.

Elasti-Girl?

There was an Elasti-Girl in Disney's The Incredibles.

I think I can already hear Disney's legal department prepping up.

DC's Elasti-Girl was created in 1963. You were saying?

So how much you want to bet the Doom Patrol is going to go evil or already is. This whole set up is creepy evil vibe to me definitely not heroic.

@RobertLiefeld

Ya you would say that wouldn't you. Some of the worst art in the comic book industry came out in the 90's and Liefeld was one of the major contributors of it.

Just a few examples of Liefeld's terrible art and also examples of what was rampant back in the 90's in the comic industry. Gigantic guns and shoulder pads, unbelievable proportions on the human body or the body being contorted in unnatural ways generally women and women being put in the most ridiculous outfits ever like this gem Invisible Woman wore in the 90's

The Doom Patrol is one of the best things to ever come out of DC, such a weird team. The originals were great, Morrison's revamp was great. Hope this matches up.

These characters were created 50 years ago, get over it.

@staypuffed,

I stand corrected then.

But in that case, WB should have sued Disney.

@Swan. Welcome to the 21st century, it's waitig for you. It's not like these are main characters like Superman, Batman or Spider-man who will always be relevant. But part of updating a character (lesser known ones) for a new generation is something fresh like new costumes and more creative names.

@pes it's amazing how Liefeld's art actually worse ed with time instead of improving.
