We've had a new pop culture "show" (for lack of a better word) shared with us. There are a million of them out there, but we think this one could have some legs.

Robert DiLauro, a horror genre veteran who's been battling it out online and in print for more than a decade, is branching out to share his love of all things outside of that specific genre and he's doing so through "Pop Jedi". They discuss all things pop-culture including comics, film, horror, sci-fi, fantasy... you get the idea. A lot of the same topics that have brought you here to CBM.

It's put together really well, and It's obvious that they're passionate and knowledgeble about the topics at hand and are doing a pretty smash-up job with their presentation. In fact, we liked it so much that CBM has partnered with Robert DiLauro, the creator of the Pop Jedi show, to be its new official home on the web and YouTube through CBM's official YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/ComicBookMovie)!

This week sees the release of their sixth episode which focuses on the Zack Snyder's Justice League, that landed on HBO Now last week. We've included the video below. Pop Jedi can currently be found on YouTube and is coming soon to Stitcher, Spotify and iTunes.

What did you think of Pop Jedi's sixth episode? Do you agree with Rob, Di marie and Sith Jade's thoughts on Zack Snyder's Justice League? Sound off in the comments below, and also let them know what you would like to see in future shows!

It will interesting to hear a review from the perspective of unbiased reviewers who are horror genre veterans. I will give this a listen.

I might give it a listen soon, but one thing that's for sure already is that I really like the title. Pop Jedi has a good sound to it.

@noahthegrand - Wow, not sure if this is the right thread, but just watched ZS JL opening 15 min. Already, there is more character development than the first. Regardless, how I feel about Doomsday design and Supe's early death, this is an improvement. This is more than what Joss did, this shows how a company will save ass to make money. They knew this wasnt ready for a final cut. Hire Joss to clean it up in a little time frame....u get shit. Good to see Synder's cut. Especially, given the circumstances.Flows way better!

I don’t know how he can claim that Zack Snyder loves these characters when they are presented as weak minded. Look at each and every super hero, they are brought down by things regular people experience every day. Wonder Woman is a paralyzed super hero for a CENTURY over a guy who she lost. It is suggested that Superman’s “world’ is Lois Lane. If anything happens to her we are all in trouble. People lose loved ones every day - including ironically Zack Snyder. Is he now going to become evil? This is a bastardization of Superman whose REAL superpower is his moral character. ZACK SNYDER DOES NOT UNDERSTAND THIS. If Superman is changed just by the loss of a loved one, he is morally WEAKER than the average person.

Why does Superman even attack the Justice League. It is never explained. It is just Zack Snyder’s opportunity to show Superman’s dark side. He does not understand Superman at all, he hates him. The only reason he made a near perfect Superman origin story is because Christopher Nolan had him on a leash. Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a better film than the original, but at the same time it was NOT constrained by time, he could correct all the issues after the fact, he shoe horned in fan service etc...So this does not prove anything about Zack Snyder’s vision...wich is closer to an after thought.

@Forthas - I fully don't disagree with you but I will say that Snydercut was a massive disappointment (and FWIW, my fav superhero movie is by far MoS). I'm assuming that the Motherbox tech that made Cyborg recognized a Kryptonian and caused him (Cyborg) to attack Superman first. I say this because when Cyborg plugged into the Kryptonian ship, the computer stated that the Mobox was recognized as hostile or whatever. Now, that just highlights another problem of Snyder, which is that he never offers enough of an explanation until the movie is done and he's in an interview.

@Forthas - Lmao, you would have had me on Doomsday design alone! The fact that he didnt give Supes justice is a real fact. Who kills the character that started the comic book universe???? IN 2 MOVIES IN???? A Moron! Cap and Stark in the MCU had plenty of charcter build up to make the audience nerd or not care. Good story telling 101. I was just saying this movie was better than the first;)

@duncboy - I understood that Cyborg's tech attack provoked Superman, but two points

1) Superman is attacked all the time, he does not try to kill people. You could argue he was trying to kill at least Flash and definately Batman.

2) Cyborg's armor attacks him ONCE, then never again. When superman arrives at the end why, does it not attack him again especially since the mother box itself is under attack.

"...that just highlights another problem of Snyder, which is that he never offers enough of an explanation until the movie is done and he's in an interview."

EXACTLY!!!! Well put!

@Wolverine43X - "Who kills the character that started the comic book universe???? IN 2 MOVIES IN????"

The same person that kills Superman's supporting characters - Jimmy Olsen and Mercy Graves - in the first film they appear in with hardly any screentime.

Yep!!! That is right! Why start out a universe with an old Bruce when you have so much more creativity pitting a young Wayne vs. A young Kent...The possibilities are endless. Let alone, the feel people would have when those two actually NEED to work together for a common cause! :)
