Ezra Miller And Gal Gadot Request Cheetah And The INJUSTICE LEAGUE For The JL Sequel

Ezra Miller wants the entire Justice League to face their opposite number in a sequel that introduces the Injustice League and Gal Gadot supported that notion by voicing a desire to face Cheetah.

In a wide ranging interview with the Toronto Sun, Flash actor Ezra Miller and Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot spoke about who they would like to see the Justice League face next in a potential sequel.  After facing Steppenwolf in Justice League, the natural expectation would be fore Darkseid himself to attack the Earth next.  However the pair went a different direction, naming the Injustice League and Cheetah as who they would like to tangle with next.

"I think I can speak for everyone in the League when I say that we’re extremely excited by the prospect of continuing this journey," said Miller.  He continued, "We don’t really know for sure, and we’re usually the last people to find out, but … each of the heroes in this movie has specific nemeses, and I think seeing some incarnation of the Injustice League (which includes Lex Luthor, Joker, Deathstroke and more) would be something that DC fans would be pretty stoked about."

Gal Gadot stated that she wants Wonder Woman to face her arch nemesis next.  Is she thinking about Justice League 2 or the Wonder Woman sequel?  "There’s so many good villains in the DC universe, but I would love to fight Cheetah. She’s a girl and that could be very interesting."

Up until this point, the MCU has avoided pitting The Avengers against a version of the Masters of Evil in each of their Phase close-outs, although it's rumored a version of this nearly happened in Zak Penn's script for the first Avengers feature film.  Fans have long stated that the DC Films Universe needs to focus on its villains as a way to avoid inevitable comparisons to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and bringing the Injustice League to life would certainly be a step in that direction.

I like the Injustice League, but that means Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex would return so...

@Elayem - First thing that came to mind.

@Elayem - if they can convince Eisenberg to work out and show a visible personality change due to his prison time, I'm all for it.

ELAYEM - 11/11/2017, 2:29 PM
@MarkJulian - I love the character of Lex too, it really sucks that Jesse’s casting in one movie ruins all future appearances of the character

@Elayem - They should just pull a Terrence Howard/Don Cheadle, and I don't think anyone would give a shit.

Same with Joker...
Beetleborg

@Toecutter - The actors are fine, it's the characterization that people don't like. If they recast it wouldn't fix anything if they don't change the characterizations, which they could do with the same actors.

@Toecutter - I’d love a recast and new characterization for Lex. Doubt it would happen but it woul be great.

But for Joker I would prefer keeping Leto but changing the look and improving the dialogue and characterization. Leto is a great actor, just had shit direction and dialogue in Suicide Squad.

@Beetleborg - In all honesty, I really don't mind the actors. It's just that some people I've spoken to really want them changed. I just feel that a full character reboot is needed for the those particular characters.

Heck, I was one of the biggest supporters of Leto's casting at first, and I've always liked Eisenberg as an actor.

@Elayem - Eisenberg never should've been cast in the first place. DC should have cast this guy.

@Beetleborg - For that same reason though, I think they could easily be recast. They'll need a full character overhaul anyway, and after Flashpoint it'll be easy to do.

@Elayem - This.

So let’s go with a Grodd led Secret Society or the Crime Syndicate

@Nightwing1015 - Cast the guy who played Lex on Smallville?

No. Dumb idea. Stupid even

That’s like if they cast Tom Welling for Superman in Man Of Steel
Beetleborg
Beetleborg - 11/11/2017, 2:50 PM
@Toecutter - Thor Ragnarok was a complete character transformation from the previous Thor films for Thor
Nightwing1015
Nightwing1015 - 11/11/2017, 2:53 PM
@LEVITIKUZ - I don't care where the actor is from. He plays Lex better than Eisenberg so DC still would have done better to cast him.

Toecutter - 11/11/2017, 3:04 PM
@Beetleborg - Which is why I really liked it. I never cared for Thor or any of the other Thor movies... any of his supporting characters apart from Loki I guess.

Injustice League would be perfect

I’d vote White Martians or Brainiac

BlackIceJoe - 11/11/2017, 2:48 PM
@Elayem - I'd be fine with the white Martians, but without J'onn not being in the first movie I doubt they'll be in the sequel.
ELAYEM
ELAYEM - 11/11/2017, 2:52 PM
@BlackIceJoe - IMO J’onn’s introduction makes more sense with the introduction of the White Martians. Could be like the first arc in the Justice League animated series.
Subterranean Martians are awakened, White Martians attack and J’onn teams up with the league to fight them.

@Elayem -

I wouldn't go with another invasion so soon. Save Brainiac for Superman.
BlackIceJoe
BlackIceJoe - 11/11/2017, 4:10 PM
@Elayem - If it can happen I'd be alright with that. I've been a big fan of the Martian Manhunter for years and how he got screwed out of the first movie just makes me mad. So if WB finds the right way to bring him into the sequel, plus the White Martians will be alright with me.

@Batmaniac - Too confusing for non comic book fans. Would need a few films of build up.
Asturgis
Asturgis - 11/11/2017, 2:31 PM
@Batmaniac - Of course. Crime Syndicate all the way. All arcs were great, including Earth-2's.
