Nearly all of Henry Cavill's scenes as Superman in Justice League were reshot by Joss Whedon so if anyone knows about the "Snyder Cut," it's him. However, it doesn't sound like the actor is overly keen on seeing that become a reality for a number of reasons. For starters, he doesn't see the point and secondly, Cavill seems perfectly content with where the theatrical version left his Man of Steel.
"I don’t know if [a Snyder cut] actually exists so the only way I can look at it is as a business model, and I don’t know what difference it’s going to make," the actor revealed during a recent interview to promote the release of new movie Mission: Impossible - Fallout. "There are stories to be told, which need to be told and adjustments that can be made, but that’s not going to make any difference."
"I think it might be entertaining, for sure, and go, ‘Oh look, now I’ve scratched that itch,’ but it’s not going to change anything that I can think of, it’s not going to make huge amounts of money all of a sudden for a studio," he continued, pointing out something which many fans are reluctant to accept. At best, the Justice League "Snyder Cut" would be released digitally or on the DC Universe app.
Even those options wouldn't make it worth the studio's while to finish off all those special effects and piece the movie together and Cavill pointed out how unlikely it would be for Justice League to return to theaters. "They’re not going to release it into cinemas and so they’re not going to suddenly make an extra few hundred million. So it would be interesting to see what the difference is, but I’d rather focus on the future rather than what’s been." Do you agree with the Superman's actor's remarks?
