Is This Further Evidence That John Cleese Has Joined The DC Films Universe?

More interesting activity on social media has got people talking, and it once again seems to add weight to the theory that legendary British actor John Cleese has landed a role in the DC Films Universe...

Earlier this month, some eagle eyed Twitter users noticed that the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice UK account and DC Films Universe photographer Clay Enos had followed John Cleese on the social media website. As many of you pointed out at the time, that was pretty slim evidence that the actor had joined a big screen DC Comics franchise, but there's been an intriguing development.

The actor - who doesn't strike me as big comic book movie fan - has now followed both Justice League director Zack Snyder and The Batman helmer Ben Affleck. Could it be that he's playing a character who will appear in the former before taking on a larger role in the Caped Crusader's planned solo outing? 

There's no way of knowing, but Cleese showing up in Justice League (even if it's just his voice) is now looking pretty likely. It's surprising that none of the trades have reported on this casting, but there's no guarantee he has actually joined the DC Films Universe. It appears as if we'll have to wait and see...
